GUNNIR Announces Intel Iris Xe DG1 Graphics Card

Chinese manufacturer GUNNIR has recently announced their "Blue Halberd" Iris Xe DG1 graphics card a few months after Intel announced the discrete GPU. GUNNIR joins ASUS in releasing the only two discrete Iris Xe graphics cards based on the DG1 GPU however, these products are only available to OEM and general retail availability is unlikely. The low-profile GPU features a single HDMI and VGA connector along with a 45 mm fan which will keep the 30 W TDP card cool. The card comes with a base frequency of 1.2 GHz and a boost clock of 1.5 GHz while the 4 GB of LPDDR4X memory is clocked at 4267 MT/s.

Technically it is e-waste, but currenlty the fastest card which price wasn't effected of mining is GT 1030 (~100 EUR).
According to recent leaks DG1 is 20% faster than GT 1030, also DG1 have 4 GB memory instead of 2 GB.
So if pricing will be similar to GT 1030 it could be sweet choice for those who are waiting for price drop and need at least something until that. Also it could be good choice for those, who just need a graphics adapter, but don't have IGP.

What do you mean? It's on 10nm, therefore it's going to be AMAZING! This is future boys and girls :D

On a serious note, more choices are never a bad thing and if helps stock of the gaming GPUs I'm all for it (my 980ti is starting to show it's age and I'm not paying scalpers:))

Not having high hopes of being able to even buy this thing. Maybe re-sold on ebay at best.

Good thing the manufacturer is called GUNNIR not GUNGNIR because this particular GPU is rather weak

one must wonder why they can't do 50W and 75W model with 8GB memory and 'mostly working' drivers
it would be still w/o external power and passive cooling (or cheap silent low rpm fan for 75W one)

How does this compare to the ASUS card, are the specs the same?

Asus base core speed is 900 MHz and Boost clock is 1650 MHz, while Gunnir's base core speed is higher (1200 MHz) but Boost clock is lower (1500 MHz)

Also Gunnir offered low profile dual slot card, while Asus offered full height single slot card.

Also there is more minor differences such as connectors, length, etc.
