NVIDIA Releases GeForce 471.41 Game Ready Drivers: Windows 11 and DLSS on RDR2

NVIDIA today released the latest version of GeForce Game Ready drivers. Version 471.41 WHQL comes with support for Windows 11, including a WDDM 3.0 compliant display driver, making it NVIDIA's first official driver for the upcoming operating system. In addition, the drivers introduce DLSS performance enhancement on Red Dead Redemption 2 and Chernobylite. The drivers also introduce CUDA 11.4 support.

Among the issues fixed are lack of hardware acceleration on Capture One; HUD loss issues on Valorant; a game freeze noticed with DOOM Eternal; League of Legends failing to launch; mouse pointer issues with certain DSC monitors in HDR mode; blurry Ansel depth-of-field in certain games; display resolution being limited to 640x480 on some monitors after updating from older drivers; distorted HDMI audio playback on 8K displays connected via HDMi 2.1, and HDMI audio drop-outs on LG C9 OLED TVs.

great, now can we get FSR in Red Dead as well?

Tried to mess around with DLSS a bit through my friend but it did not work sadly.
When DLSS is active it for some reason (greyed out) turns TAA to high and it turns Res scaling off so my weird experiment instandly failed.

DLSS is temporal upscaling. So of course they're greyed out as in every other game.

The only DLSS application that allows custom settings is Quake RTX
Quake RTX does not have DLSS.

Ya it just uses temporal upscaling, which is all dlss is. Just Quake is transparent about it.

a game freeze noticed with DOOM Eternal
I re-downloaded on Game Pass after the RT update, and quit within 2 days because of this bug.

Yeah I got crash to desktop with 471.11 in Doom Eternal, updated to 471.22 hotfix driver and no more crash.
Also got infinite loading screen in RDR2, been wonder if that was caused by 471.11 or the game itself

This particular driver required that I do a system restart which I haven't seen from an nvidia driver in years. Is anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

coincidentally it wanted the same to finish installing 471.11 after quite sometime of not needing restart.

though i haven't kept a dairy or log, a restart has seemed to be random though. but you're right, it seems very rare if at all. i just assume it's NV making changes to service(s) that need a reboot, maybe depending on user config(?).

Overclocked quantum bit
btarunrdisplay resolution being limited to 640x480 on some monitors after updating from older drivers
lol that must be one of the most infuriating problems. You can't even open a windows and get at the controls to fix things as it's bigger than the screen resolution. I never saw this issue, thankfully.

From a programmers point of view let me detail why this happens.

DLSS as its a feature not supported by engines by default the easiest way to add it is to it hooks older methods like TAA, so if your using DLSS it will force TAA as its using it as a hook in other words it replaces TAA with DLSS, hope this helps you.

since i am running on DEv W11 since i am working on it for udpates on a platform. the new drivers feal wierd. Feels, and i am sorry to say, nvdia move know the bug from w10 to w11. what a boomer

Is how it feel. i roll back and all is perfect. I think MS and nvidia/amd need to sit. Is not what NVIDIA want is what need to be done the right way. The next gpu for me will be intel. i get tired to talk to a wall.
