Lenovo Introduces ThinkBook 16p Gen 3 Powered by AMD Ryzen 6000

The new Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 3 will help content creators and power users unleash their creativity without limitations. The latest supercharged ThinkBook features up to AMD Ryzen 9 6000 H-series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 discrete graphics to deliver flagship performance with Windows 11. The immersive narrow-bezel 16-inch 2.5K IPS display options include TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and TÜV Eyesafe certifications to maximize eye comfort and include an Ambient Light Sensor that adjusts screen and keyboard backlight brightness. Two display options are available including a 400nit 60 Hz panel and a new 500nit 165 Hz VESA Certified HDR400 panel offers vivid colors and increased shadow and highlight detail. Both display options are also X-Rite Pantone Certified and support Dolby Vision content.

Super processing power of the AMD Ryzen 6000 Series Mobile Processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics help users tackle the most arduous demands of hybrid working. The addition of up to 32 GB dual-channel LPDDR5 memory, up to 2 TB through dual SSD storage and a 71Wh battery should keep users powered throughout the day. New working styles also require high-speed reliable connectivity and port availability for flexible and versatile connections. Conveniently connect to wireless networks, peripherals, and AV equipment thanks to Wi-Fi 6 support and two USB Type-C ports including one USB4, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 and an HDMI 2.1 port.
A positive and seamless user experience is of paramount importance for a productive and creative workflow. The convenience and added security of the fingerprint-enable Smart Power Button allows user to quickly pick up where they left off and continue enjoying deeper collaboration and creative brainstorming using the optional Full-HD IR camera combined with Dolby Atmos crystal clear audio. Smart AI-based features introduced in earlier ThinkBook laptops include AI Meeting Manager that amongst other capabilities can convert text to speech in fourteen supported languages during audio conferences.

For added productivity, SMB users can connect their ThinkBook 16p PC to Lenovo's new ThinkVision S25e-30 monitor, also announced today. Combining performance, comfort, and value in a large 24.5-inch FHD display, this next-generation monitor offers multiple connectivity options and a three-side, near edgeless design that easily accommodates a multi-screen setup when desired. Built for comfort and efficiency, the ThinkVision S25e-30 monitor has natural low blue light technology; an ergonomically advanced stand that tilts; and a new conveniently placed joystick navigation button for configuring device settings.

Hummm, only$2k for what appears to be a rather powahful, well spec'd & good lookin lappy.... which makes me wonder if the spywarez/loggerz/backdoorz are included, or will they charge extra for those "features" hehehehe

Also curious that they did not mention how much it weighs, nor include any pics of the front of the machine nor that 24" monitor....

They are a business-oriented line, based off of the E-series ThinkPads. Those have been (historically) free from the software issues present on the Lenovo laptops designed for home use.

ThinkBooks use a metal shell but reduce the number of features found on ThinkPads, namely the trackpoint and physical touchpad buttons, and uses a simplified keyboard layout.

The monitor is a (again, business grade) relatively basic 24.5" FHD 75Hz monitor with HDMI 1.4, VGA, and 3.5mm, and 99% sRGB. Couldn't find the panel type, but others in the series use a VA panel.
