First R600 Launch Evidence - HIS Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB GDDR3 VIVO PCIe

HIS - Hightech Information System Limited jumped the gun when preparing their website for the upcoming AMD R600 graphics cards. The following link leads to their online product presentation website for the HIS Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB GDDR3 VIVO PCIe and pretty much confirms nearly all the rumors we heard about this particular chip during the last few weeks and months.

The 8800's are Graham Norton.

gamer210IMO, the flames make it look a lil' gimmicky. Kind of like a Civic w/ racing stripes.
As long as that civic has 300 ponies under the hood,...it's all good.

hope we can volt mod the 2900xt, but I think it will have to be a hard mod.. the xt should almost catch the gtx when overclocking I read.. now if we can V mod it :) I'm sure(hope) it will shine.

both sides will have decent offerings this round I think... now hopefully we get some better prices. cause 500+ bucks for a nice card is a bit to much for most people.

If we look at the whole picture, i think ATI have made a well rounded quality product, with features build in enabling efficient use for media center pc's, and alike and mega nice support for upcoming true dx10 gaming, and its no wonder it may (or may not) score lower at dx9 games, since it is a true dx10 card for dx10 gaming, not an uber dx9 card with dx10 support..

This imo, is a better piece of craftsmanship that the Nvidia offering, which just feels like they threw everything onto a pcb to enable dx10 support, sorta like whacking rocket boosters onto a pushchair while ATI produced a hand crafted Super car :)

it sems to be equal to 8800 series you will need two in crossfire, thats $1,200 to compete with $300 nvidia card. Also box clearly states "pci" not pcie 16x, although i believe that it is that. next product description lists both AVIVO & VIVO. if it where vivo it probably couln't support hdmi, which is crossfire type top end with dongle, or older solution to completely new problem, solution that has only failed in past. Whith no memory nor processor speed quoted, how 'official" can any of that data be? This might be hebriphrenic situation with body worshipping its own crap to point of doing itself great harm. it is doubtful anything of much greatness will become of it, hdmi, yes, yet eventual "it didn't work properly" is still quite likely. built in physicis, great, it does something instead of dweeb effects more like variety of events in one making it seem more plausible. o.k., yet does it add up to one 4x physics? I have never seen that good of review of that item, yet any port in storm to make this stuff display realistically. if this unit is worth 4x as much, I cann't see how.dON'T BE SURPRISED IF LATEST HARDWARE & SOFTWARE BREAKS UNDER STRAIN OF USING SO MUCH POORLY DESIGNED EQUIPMENT. aLSO THIS IS END OF LINE(K8 & K9) ENGINNEERING, SO ITS UNLIKELY IN YEAR IT WILL BE WORTH MUCH.

Hey guess what: you suck.

Signed: SOMEONE WHO THINKS ALL CAPITAL LETTERS IS OFFENSIVE.

There is so many things wrong with what you say, its not worth bothering. What $300 card needs $1200 of hardware to beat it? K8 and K9 engineering? what the hell has THAT got to do with GPU technology. Using a lot of big words and poor grammar will not make people beleive you.

this card will pwn a 320gts, it will be near gtx speeds when overclocking. from what I read, its got 512mb mem bus to help it along. :)

Notice that this is only the XT model. Also notice that there have been hardly any reports/leaks of the XTX. ATI has got something HUGE up their sleeve that will make Nvidia shit their pants. I can feel it. :rockout:
