Broken Processor
I had the V2 and liked it but the right mouse button sloped down to far to the point I was accidentally triggering it all the time forcing me to get rig of it.

I'm glad they brought back the third side button to the Hyperspeed X variant, but also just looking at the official picture with hand holding the mouse it's clear that many people will find this button completely out of reach.

Yes, that button is out of reach, and also has less buttons than the Basilisk V3 and also this one can't be used wired, is wireless only, and also doesn't has two buttons below the scroll wheel, just one, and I don't know if this one supports free scroll as the Basilisk V3/G502(X).

If the original Basilisk X is anything to go by, there's also no scroll tilt.

Agreed. Part of the reason why I wasn't interested in the first Basilisk X Hyperspeed was the lack of that 3rd side button. I'm glad to see that it has returned on this new version.

About said button: I'm actually using the regular V3 at the moment and have no trouble reaching the side paddle, but that's probably because my thumbs are long... I use the paddle as my hypershift button while gaming and it's starting to get a bit shiny (another reason I'll always prefer the metal one found on the V2) :D

I hope the 2.4G connection issues which I experience with Hyperspeed X model are resolved for this new version.
Disappointed that 3 years after I bought it the problem is still unresolved.
Last firmware v1.02.00.r2 brought improvement but not solution :(

May give it a try since it's powered by AA battery. No more dealing with docks or charging cables.

You will have to deal with usb-c charging cable into the actual AA battery, Ali has those usb-c port rechargeable batteries :D

what are you talking about? The mouse runs off a single AA battery. When it dies you pop in a new one, easy.
