In addition, we also got minimum and recommended requirements for the remake. The remake of the original game, which was originally announced back in March 2016, is planned to release on the PC, as well as PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One and Series X/S, but so far, only the PC version launch date is confirmed.

In case you missed it earlier, the remake of System Shock will feature new visuals, updated controls and interface, all new sounds and music, and more. The PC version will be available on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, and those that pre-ordered the game will get a free copy of the upcoming System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition.

It needs native HDR support tbh to really grab me these days. But if they have that, I am all in, yeah. Even if not, there are retrofits I can use (Windows 11 AutoHDR amongst others), so probably will buy. System Shock is also a precursor to Bioshock I am told in a sense, so, since I loved that for its dystopian story, I should probably like (and get) this.

Those system requirements are lightweight for 2023. It'll be interesting to see what the garden levels look like or if they even implement them (the original system shock had a level that consisted of a large garden, so did System Shock 2 I believe). I could comfortably play this title on my old Haswell-E rig with my 980ti!
