The SOC is pretty decent, but 4gb of ram is not enough for a mid-end device.

My thoughts exactly.

The CPU spec matches with Dimensity 930/7020, so the MT8188J SoC could be a Kompanio rebadge of that chip.

Agreed that 4GB of RAM isn't really enough, especially considering the productivity focus of this. Otherwise it's a pretty decent tablet.

The device seems pretty decent but the software makes it absolutely worthless until the day when some new exploit is discovered that enables a full clean up with a new rom. Installing play services is definitely not enough, it's just a bandaid to go around the limitations of the Amazon app store.

I think I've finally found a reason to upgrade from my Fire 10 I purchased way back in 2018. With a now 11 inch screen, this would be perfect for me.

If the ads are only on the lock screen like with my older kindles, it's a non issue anyway. I couldn't care less about a splash screen ad on my unlock screen /shrug.
