Immortals of Aveum Gets New Gameplay Trailer

Electronic Arts and Ascendant Studios have released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming fantasy first-person magic shooter, Immortals of Aveum. Based on Unreal Engine 5.1, this single-player FPS will put the player into role of Jak, an Immortal capable of using all three colors of magic. The game is set into original universe and the latest trailer shows what is said to be one of the epic battles in the game, and it surely looks impressive.

Immortals of Aveum could be the first Unreal Engine 5.1 game to be released as it is scheduled to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on July 20th. Previously, EA has released rather high PC system requirements, which included either a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB graphics card to run the game at 1440p at 60 FPS, and that is with medium to high game settings.
Here is the new trailer named "colossal assault gameplay trailer".

I'm a bit sad about this game. Kinda looks nice. A bit slower paced than Doom but using very similar mechanics.

Kinda interested in this game, I've had a fair bit of fun with Lichdom: Battlemage a good few years ago and that was like the last purely magic based game I've played.
That and I'm curious how a UE 5.1 single player game will run on my 3060 Ti, considering that there will be more and more UE 5 games this could give me an idea when I will need an upgrade. 'unless its trash optimized from the get go like its the trend nowadays..'

Based on the looks of this trailer alone, there's nothing in it to justify 3080Ti/6800XT for recommended settings. Who knows, it might indeed because of UE 5.1 (open spaces, less loading screens, and whatnot).

Gameplay, eh. Last Bioshock I played was the second one and I didn't like it. The whole FPS-with-magic thing might be fun, though.

If they actually do make a better more in depth Lichdom Im all over this.

But that is fantasy. Not reality. It will be simplified nonsense.

When I read a minimum specs sheet and see 2080 super and 9th gen. I immediately know the game will be horrible. If the devs cannot take the time to optimize the game then I know 100% they did not take time to finish the game either. It will just be another cash grab from EA. 60fps with a 3080ti is my favorite way to play games that look like they are from a ps4.

Yeah sadly I'm expecting the same, might just end up being a fancy playable techdemo.

HOkay
Me upon hearing singleplayer magic-based FPS: "Ooo, sounds interesting!"
Me seeing it's EA: "Oh well, what else is coming out soon."
