Chuwi Announces the CoreBox 5th Gen Mini PC

Chuwi, a leading global technology company, has unveiled its latest product, the CoreBox 5th Mini PC. The CoreBox 5th Mini PC is a powerful and versatile solution for the modern office, offering a combination of high performance, compact design, and state-of-the-art features.

The CoreBox 5th Mini PC is powered by Intel's latest 13th Gen Core i5-13500H processor, which is based on the Intel Alder Lake architecture. The Intel Core i5-13500H is a mobile CPU designed for mid-range laptops, utilizing the Raptor Lake-H series (Alder Lake or Raptor Lake architecture). Its release in early 2023 boasts 4 out of 6 performance cores (P-cores) based on the Golden Cove architecture, alongside all 8 efficient cores (E-) using the Gracemont architecture. With Hyper-Threading support on the P-cores, the CPU can handle up to threads in conjunction with the E-cores. The clock rate ranges from 2.6 to 4.7 GHz for single core boost (and up to 4.6 GHz for all cores) on the performance cluster, while the efficient cluster operates between 1.9 and 3.5 GHz. The performance of the E-cores is expected to be comparable older Skylake cores.
The CoreBox 5th Mini PC also features 16 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe ROM, providing ample memory and storage for even the most demanding applications. The DDR5 RAM is the latest generation of memory, and it is faster and more efficient than DDR4 RAM. The PCIe ROM is also very fast and provides plenty of storage space for most users.

In terms of connectivity, the CoreBox 5th Mini PC offers a wide range of ports, including HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, four USB-A 3.0 ports, an Ethernet RJ45 port supporting 2.5G, and a 4-stage 3.5 mm standard audio interface. This ensures that the CoreBox 5th Mini PC can be connected to a variety of devices and peripherals, making it ideal for a variety of office settings.

The CoreBox 5th Mini PC also features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports capable of executing network aggregation. This is a novelty among Mini PCs, and Chuwi claims that it enhances network efficiency.

The CoreBox 5th Mini PC is a stylish and compact device that measures just 173x158x73 mm. It is finished in a sleek black hue and features a sand-blasted oxidation with a plastic sprayed finish. This ensures that the CoreBox 5th Mini PC is both durable and aesthetically pleasing.

The CoreBox 5th Mini PC is a powerful and versatile solution for the modern office. It offers a combination of high performance, compact design, and state-of-the-art features. The CoreBox 5th Mini PC is ideal for demanding office tasks such as video editing, CAD design, and software development. It is also a great choice for home offices and mobile workstations.

I understand that Techpowerup is just printing press releases verbatim, but maybe a line should be drawn when a press release is mostly babbling nonsense. Please reach out to whoever wrote this PR at Chuwi and ask if they are OK.

TheLostSwedefeatures dual Gigabit Ethernet ports
Where ?

Maybe my aging eyeballs are failing me again, but I can only see 1 RJ45 port in the pics ....perhaps dual ports are an available option when ordering, but there does NOT appear to be enough room for a 2nd one on the backplane on this particular model....

It looks like a nice, stylish mini-me box, but it is way short on RAM & storage, which will make it essentially useless for the tasks listed in the PR, other than everyday office stuff :)

And obviously, price will be important, but since one is not listed, we are once AGAIN left to wonder or have to go elsewhere to find that crucial piece of info :(
