Dell Announces Newest Workstation Based on AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors

I'm a big believer that the workstation industry has always been fast-paced and exciting. We've had a front row seat for more than 25 years helping creators, engineers, architects, researchers and more bring their ideas to life and make an impact on the world. Workstations have played a critical role here, viewed as a necessary tool to make the impossible possible. Now the world is buzzing with AI and generative AI (GenAI), and workstations are in the spotlight in a different way.

New Dell Technologies research shows that 65 to 75% of organizations are already reporting quantified outcomes with GenAI initiatives. As a result, approximately three-fourths of organizations are identifying incremental funding to support GenAI initiatives. This is consistent with the interest that we're seeing with workstations. The purposeful build allows for more air space to cool the processor and now a sixth PCIe slot for increased expandability options. Complaining about non standard board designs on hardware that is used for 5 years then replaced for security reasons is pretty hilarious. Nobody is buying these and wanting to put some gaming board in them.

Look Dell can actually source cases with decent airflow but they will stick with plastic shit for their Alienware lineup.

IMHO, saying, writing, or even thinking the words "Dell" & "Standard" in the same sentence should be illegal and punishable by death via stoning, tar & feathering, and a flaming stake thru the heart :D /s

They don't even know how to spell "standard", let alone make anything that fits that definition...

are you talking about the case suddenly? why would nobody be interested to buy a second hand motherboard with a threadripper cpu in 5 years? the problem is just this proprietary hardware aka e-waste.

but you can though. I got a nice T5810 with 32gb DDR4 memory for like $150 CAD and threw in a RTX 3060 in it and its fantastic. Honestly I am fine with these systems because they dont hold its value at all but it sure as hell works fine for gaming and other applications

Might be, because by that time, this HW would most likely be unsupported.
