In addition to these new features, the Philips 49B2U6900CH also boasts a large 48.8-inch screen and 5120 x 1440 DQHD resolution for a wide viewing and high-quality setup that would otherwise be comprised of two separate monitors.

Built for the Professional Work Environment
Perhaps one of the most powerful and useful features of the Philips 49B2U6900CH are those that pertain to the professional work environment, and it is safe to say that it is built for it.
With features like the Adjustable Webcam with Autoframing as well as the noise canceling mic and the Busylight, this monitor makes working with teammates around the world an easier feat. By fashioning all three features mentioned above, the Philips 49B2U6900CH can adjust its webcam view to fit all team members within the frame during conference calls and, not to mention, the webcam can be adjusted back and forth by 30 degrees so that professionals of all heights can comfortably fit within the viewing field.

In addition to these powerful occupational features, the Philips 49B2U6900CH's Busylight feature aids communication with professionals working in the same office. Located on the top of the webcam, the Busylight is designed to communicate working statuses. For example, when a colleague is on a call, the Busylight will automatically turn red. Or, in another scenario, users can press the Busylight hotkey located on the bottom left of the monitor bezel to turn the light red when they are occupied. It is important to note that professionals can also sync their Microsoft Teams statuses to the new Philips 49B2U6900CH Busylight feature. Its 109ppi and around 2x 27" 1440p monitors side by side.

While its good to see sub 50W power consumption, 10bit(8bit + FRC), built in KVM, and 2.5Gbps NIC but not a fan of low refresh rate and lack of support for VRR.

Yes like I said, pitifully low for 2024 especially for productivity. This ppi has been around for 15 years and we are still stuck on it. Dell make a far more interesting 40" with the same resolution providing 140ppi, but it's a crappy 8 bit panel.

Space wise it's like having 2x 27'' monitors, price wise it's much more expensive. Meh, the super ultrawide never seemed appealing to me, be it in office or gaming high refresh flavours but someone must be buying them or else they wouldn't continue to launch new versions of them.
