This Week in Gaming (Week 10)

Welcome to the month of March, which we kick off with some American play fighting and although this is the biggest release this week, it's not what we'd call a AAA release. We obviously have a range of other games for you as well, ranging from a morally ambiguous RPG to a muddy driving game followed by a physiological horror title, a very Finnish adventure and nine days of preparation.

WWE 2K24 / This week's major release / Friday 8 March
WWE 2K24 boasts a star-studded roster featuring WWE Legends like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Undertaker, and Andre the Giant, alongside current WWE Superstars like "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Rhea Ripley, and Roman Reigns, whose larger-than-life entrances and signature moves are heightened by ultra-realistic graphics. WrestleMania is the biggest event in sports entertainment, where Superstars become WWE Legends. Experience a gripping retelling of WrestleMania's greatest moments in 2K Showcase of the Immortals, where you can relive a collection of some of the most unforgettable, career-defining matches. Steam Link
The Thaumaturge / Monday 4 March
The Thaumaturge is an isometric, story-rich RPG with a unique take on turn-based combat, character development features, and investigation mechanics, facing you with morally ambiguous choices - set in a world teeming with mysterious powers and strange ethereal beings called salutors. The year is 1905. Warsaw lives under the yoke of imperial Russian tsardom. Its inhabitants constitute a diverse group of different ancestries, views, and beliefs with often conflicting interests: Russian soldiers, Jewish merchants, Polish townspeople, and more. Despite the circumstances, the city is a buzzing metropolis, where one can attend a breathtaking party with the high society, and later get robbed in one of the dark alleys of the Praga district. A city of great hopes and dreams on one hand and dark desires on the other. Steam Link
Expeditions: A MudRunner Game / Tuesday 5 March
From Arizona to the Carpathians, chart through expansive open worlds in search of hidden treasures and forgotten ruins. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is a groundbreaking off-road simulation crafted by Saber Interactive, creators of the critically acclaimed SnowRunner. Lead research missions as you drive a variety of all-terrain vehicles, using high-tech tools and managing your camp and crew to ensure your success in the wild. Embark on ever-rewarding scientific expeditions as you adapt to nature's challenges, and unravel the mysteries of uncharted lands. Steam Link
Reveil / Wednesday 6 March
A unique, visually appealing, mentally challenging story. Versatile puzzles, unanswered questions, confusing clues and a disturbing psyche demand a lot from both the player and the protagonist, Walter Thompson. Can you manage to make sense of it all? Should you persevere, there is a chance to find answers to your questions. Steam Link
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley / Thursday 7 March
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a story-rich musical adventure game about Snufkin restoring the valley and helping the quirky and memorable characters and critters who call it home. A series of hideous parks have cropped up in Moominvalley, disrupting the landscape and its harmonious nature. As Snufkin you will distract police officers, pull out signs, and knock over misplaced statues as you vigorously try to restore nature and the inhabitants' home while putting an end to the industrious Park Keeper's plans… Steam Link
9 Days / Friday 8 March
You have 9 Days to explore the vast world to find the best skills and items for the final fight. Choose carefully where you go and how you spend your time. Remember, you only have 9 days! Steam Link

Oh dear god. Has it begun already?

Was 9 Days written by an AI code? Look at the hand in the screengrab. That was not 'drawn' by a human artist.

Yes he was! They aren't even close to the same height.

*I guess if I kept scrolling, this question had already been answered*

Steam return rate/negative ratings for this incomplete DLC (game) are spot on. Recycling their own assets is one thing. Mods and mod maps? New game?

Maybe he likes the gameplay, but the aim is new players and P2P in a faster paced legacy console arcade game format.

Stallone - 5'8"
Hulk - 6'6"
Andre - 7'4"

added Sly cause of the Rocky film, Hogan actually stood on a stool while they faced each other in the ring to make Hogan even taller.

Well, If it's a game developed in Unreal Engine, I bet it's probably purchased model without sufficient attention to modeling for movement execution, resulting in mesh distortion. o_O

Never played it.

He has drive BeamNG and some other one. He has the steering wheel, etc. set up on PC, and too young for a license, so maybe he just likes doing silly stuff in game?

Sounds more likely candidate for Mudrunner than either the two games that followed. $3 CA (or less) is a pretty small bet in that direction.

I would have picked The Thaumaturge but seeing how it is a game from a Polish studio that doesn't have audio in Polish language I will probably wait for a sale. How cheap you have to be to make your native language as a subtitle option only?

I've had the Thaumaturge on my wishlist for idk how long. So yeah, I hope it will be good.

Does anybody know if 'Expeditions: A MudRunner Game' support a wheel+pedals?
