PlayStation 3 Firmware 1.92 Released
An update to the PlayStation 3 system software was released on September 4, 2007, bringing it from version 1.90 to 1.92. The new firmware improves backwards compatibility with PlayStation 2 (PS2) titles.

the Wii however is just pure family fun.
I missed out on the 60GB PS3's with hardware-based PSX and PS2 game play, so any updates that improve compatibility or features of the emulator is a big bonus to me.
IE: "Xiao Xiao" should work great while "8-bit Theater" would probably result in very blocking characters.
Wii - had something I wanted so I bought it.
PS3 - has something I want, so I'm going to buy it.
Xbox - doesn't interest me in the slightest, so I could care less.
Didn't mean to come down on any one or any system specifically. It's just that if you like a system, you buy a system.
