Half-Life 2: Episode Two Goes Gold
Valve has confirmed that The Orange Box has indeed gone gold. However, when asked about the eventual Steam pre-loading of
Portal and Half Life 2: Episode Two a company representative could not provide an exact date. The PC and Xbox 360 editions of Valve's ultra compilation The Orange Box have entered the manufacturing process, reports GameDaily BIZ. Commonly referred to as "going gold," it indicates that development is complete and that the game will arrive in stores shortly.

Halo is but a monkeys dong in comparison to Half Life :p
We're looking at 2004-2005 graphics here, still running on the same engine. They are lucky that Half Life 2 was such a good looking game to begin with.
And by the way, sourse is not very good at large outdoor enviornments. So lets see em slightly modify that! :)
you should do your homework, i have modded bf42, and done some early works for bf2, both engines are the same...as i didnt have to restudy bf2 to mod it. Biggest change between bf1942, and bf2 is the filesystem (how files are packaged, and formated).
