Crysis May Come to Consoles, Depending on Sales/Ratings
In an interview with Game Informer, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli stated that Crysis just might make it to consoles after all. (People) are asking me if it's possible. Of course. You can get Crysis even on the Nintendo DS. But not that Crysis -- you cannot get Crysis as it is on PC on any console. What you would have to do is compromise the design and the level design. In order to make Crysis (playable on a console,) you would have to make a derivative Crysis and optimize it for the Xbox 360 and PS3. In fact, if we do it, we'll optimize it for each platform."

Don't get me wrong, I agree Crysis would probably be best on PC, but I disagree with your reasons.
I'll stick with Crysis on PC, thank you.
However, I think the console verison will receive some bad press due to it being a dulled down verison of the PC verison.

Anyhow, I don't really care as I'll never have the kind of money to spend on a Xbox360/PS3. Well, I might be able to buy a console some day, but then I need a flat TV to go with that HD, and that's way to expensive for me.
