Thermalright Ultra 120 Full-Copper On Sale this Month
Thermalright Ultra 120 has been one of the most successful high-performance air coolers. The company planned to release a pure-copper version of this cooler. The cooler will indeed hit shelves later this month, but only limited quantities would make it. The company plans to make only 2000 units of these, dismissing earlier reports of 3000. This this cooler is nearly twice as heavy without fans!
Looks good though.
But seriously 1900g, its one heavy bastard too.
I know the big issue here is looks, but for a more practical design, I would have prefered a mix of aluminum and copper fins actually. To get a little more added benefit of the copper fins, while still keeping it at an acceptable weight.
Thing ways a ton, why not just use gold...
At least not to any extent that matters.
Selling this at the height of coppers price still wouldnt net you $100.
Let's be honest here, my 92mm on my AC, with a 120mm behind it stays ice cold to the touch, it literally cannot move the heat fast enough to get rid of it any faster... So that one with 2 120s, would be pretty much a waste, it will move heat slightly faster, but honestly what are you going to drop from a pretty decent air cooler 1 maybe 2c in certain spots...
Far from worth $100, and not enough to make any difference, you're not going to pull any more overclock off that.
