Intel price cuts for dual-core CPUs

Intel scheduls to lower its 65nm Pentium D 9xx-series processors prices by 13-50% on April 23. Intel will also launch the new 3,6Ghz dual-core Pentium D 960 CPU, which will be priced at US$530, on April 30.

Hmm...By looking at this price list all of Intel's Dual Core CPUs (except for the top 2), will be cheaper than the cheapest X2. I wonder (and hope) that AMD will lower their dual cores even more to stay competitive. This is also interesting to see if this will affect what AMD will price their new dual cores at? (hopefully not too high)

Great news!

I assume that AMD will lower their prices as well... which means that I will soon be able to afford a dual core CPU!!!! This is going to be a wonderful year.

Kod,
Thats old news.
You could get the Athlon 64 X2 3800+ for $295 these days. Wonder if this will still push AMD to even go lower.

So where is the drop????????????????????

Still holding at same prices as of today. When are we gonna see the prices drop? Will we have to wait for the AMD bankruptcy after conroe hits to see the prices go down?:nutkick:
