Five ASUS VH Series Monitors Get the Highest EPEAT Gold Rating
Five ASUS VH Series LCD monitors with screen sizes ranging from 20" to 24" have been EPEAT registered at the Gold level, the highest EPEAT rating possible. Designed and manufactured in strict adherence to GreenASUS principles, the ASUS VH202T-P, VH222H-P, VH232H-P, VH236H-P and VH242H-P successfully met or exceeded the required criteria and at least 75% of the optional criteria necessary to receive a Gold rating from EPEAT. These LCD monitors now join ASUS' Bamboo Series and N Series notebooks in the elite rung of electronic products bearing the EPEAT Gold eco-label.ASUS VH Series LCD monitors were found to excel in each of the eight Environmental Performance Categories defined by the IEEE 1680 standard which EPEAT is based on:

I havnt opted for their more expensive lineup before, infact the best monitor ive had from them was the Asus PG191. I know it wasnt their best, but it was built great.
I later went to 4 of their 22" widescreens which were much cheaper but just as reliable with a high quality for their price.

This NEC LCD from 2001 has maintained its Contrast Ratio and doesnt have any Dead pixels.

My Next will be 24" to support 1920x1200
The Dell 2209WA comes to mind as a suitable heir to my monstruous CRT.
Some really good TN's like my samsung here have 170 degree.
