Creative Unveils Aurvana Air Earphones

Creative Technology today announced their latest Aurvana Air earphones. Using premium materials and Creative's EaseFit ear-hook design, the new Aurvana Air earphones will provide listeners with superior comfort over long hours of extended use. The Aurvana Air earphones have a 1.2 m long Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) cable, a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack and come carefully placed in a leather carrying bag. Each earphone holds one 15.5 mm Neodymium magnet driver, with frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, impedance of 32 ohms and sensitivity of 102 dB/mW at 1 kHz. The Creative Aurvana Air earphones are supposedly arriving at stores now, and they should cost around 200 Euro (ouch). For more information, please click here.

At that price I could have gotten AKG K701, Senn HD600, Grados SR80... etc... So they have a hard time living up to its price...

Could almost get the Logitech Z-5500 lol with that much. I know audiophiles are probably all over these, but €200 for earphones is just wrong lol, especially when you can get a pretty good pair for €30, I wouldn't spend more than €100 on headphones, probably no more than €30 on earphones, I spent €60 on a pair of subwoofer headphones, that's a lot even for me lol.

The ones that came bundled with my sony mp3 satisfy me 100%, that model should be worth some 40$ if sold separately, its bass is what i love the most and i dont believe if was to spend 200 on a new pair i would be more satisfied than i am now, they might be a little better but whats in it for costing all that money??

While I like the design, every other Creative heatphone ever has been bad.

let me paste something I quoted a couple weeks ago.
BumbleBeeSurround sound speakers certainly have their place in the gaming world. But they’re more skewed towards social interacting for when you’re gaming with mates, or enjoying a single-player title. The problem with surround sound speakers is, short of expensive equipment and perfect placement, it can be difficult to pinpoint sounds as accurately as with headphones. Sure, you’ll be able to differentiate your front left from your rear right, but you’ll usually have trouble distinguishing the various levels (game world heights or lows) of sound. When it comes to the online arena, you may be surprised by how much a pair of 5.1 (at least) surround sound headphones can make a difference.

let me paste something I quoted a couple weeks ago.
You could probably get something that sounds better in an earbud form factor for €200. Like for instance Yuin PK1 / OK1 hell I bet even the PK2s and OK2s and 3s will sound better than these Creative buds. If you want designer buds that sound great get the B&O A8 which sound good but not quite up to the Yuin's standard.
