The Playstation Portable GPU 65nm was a performance-segment gaming console graphics solution by Sony, launched on August 30th, 2007. Built on the 65 nm process, and based on the RE+SE-65nm graphics processor, in its CXD5029-304GG variant, the device does not support DirectX. It features 2 pixel shaders and 1 vertex shader 5 texture mapping units, and 5 ROPs. Sony includes 2 MB eDRAM memory, which are connected using a 512-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 133 MHz, memory is running at 83 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 4 W maximum. The console's dimensions are 169 mm x 19 mm x 71 mm, and it features a igp cooling solution. Its price at launch was 249 US Dollars.
