Thermaltake Has Plenty of New ATX 3.0 PSUs at Computex 2023

In addition to a rather impressive SFX power supply lineup, Thermaltake also has a lot of ATX 3.0 power supplies at its Computex 2023 showcase, including the Toughpower TF3 Titanium 1550 W model, Snow versions of the Toughpower GF A3 Gold series and the Toughpower GF3 Gold series, and the Smart BM3 Bronze series.

The Toughpower TF3 1550 W is designed with overclockers and PC enthusiasts in mind. Of course, it is compatible with ATX 3.0 specifications and comes with two native PCIe Gen 5 12+4-pin connectors. As a premium high-end product, it features strict voltage regulation, low ripple noise, and all the usual protections. So far, this is the only 80 Plus Titanium certified ATX 3.0 PSU from Thermaltake, although we heard that Thermaltake is also going to bring its iRGB Plus Titanium series with ATX 3.0 certification, which will be available in 1250 W and 1650 W versions. Thermaltake also showcased Snow versions of the Toughpower GF A3 Gold series, which is available in 850 W and 1050 W versions, and the Snow version of the Toughpower GF3 Gold, available in 1200 W version. Both are compatible with ATX 3.0 specifications with native PCIe Gen 5 12+4-pin connector, have Smart Zero Fan feature, and come with low-profile flat white cables. The Smart BM3 Bronze PSU series is a semi-modular design and comes in 550 W, 650 W, and 750 W versions. It also gets ATX 3.0 support and PCIe Gen 5 12+4-pin connector, ultra quiet 120 mm rifle bearing fan, and features a high amperage single +12V rail design.

Sharkoon Announces the SilentStorm Icewind Power Supply Series

A new wind blows from Sharkoon and their range of PC power supplies expands with a new series: The Sharkoon SilentStorm Icewind power supply series is now available in two editions, black or white, in either 550, 650, and 750 Watt. The Sharkoon SilentStorm Icewind, in a white edition, is deliberately kept in line with the colors snow white and ice blue and is aimed at users who, in addition to the technical details, also attach importance to the design of their components and their cabling. Modular cables and cable combs ensure the PC stays tidy. SilentiumPC Intros Vero L2 Bronze Series PSUs

SilentiumPC today introduced the Vero L2 Bronze series of mainstream power-supplies (PSUs). Available in two models - 500W and 600W, the PSUs offer low-noise fans, fixed cabling, and boasts of 80 Plus Bronze switching efficiency, besides an up to date standards compliance (ATX 12V 2.31, and Intel Core new C6/C7-states support). Under the hood, the Vero L2 Bronze features a single +12V rail design, a resonant LLC converter, active PFC, and most common electrical protections, including over/under-voltage, overload, input surge, and short-circuit protection.

Both variants of the SilentiumPC Vero L2 Bronze offer the same connector loadout - a 24-pin ATX, a 4+4 pin EPS, two 6+2-pin PCIe power, seven SATA power, three 4-pin Molex, and one 4-pin Berg (floppy). Besides the 24-pin ATX, all connectors feature flat ribbon-type cables. The units are cooled by a 120 mm PWM fan that's been optimized for low noise, and stays at 20% of its rated 1,800 RPM speed up to 30% of load. The units are backed by 3-year "door to door" warranty. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Lepa G-Series and B-Series Power Supplies Begin Rolling Out

Lepa Also Shows Off Contingent of New PSUs

At the end of the day, Lepa started off as a PSU maker, and that's where its expertise lies. The company unveils several new PSUs at Computex, the most notable of which smiled for our cameras. Things start off with the new MX series mainstream PSUs, which offer semi-modular cabling with flat peripheral cables, a single +12V rail design, and up to 86 percent efficiency. These units come in 450W (N450-MA), 550W (N550-MA), and 650W (N650-MA) variants. The 450W model is good for most single graphics card builds, the 550W and 650W ones can take on dual-graphics card setups.

Moving on, Lepa unveiled the BM "MaxBron" series 80 Plus Bronze certified mid-range PSUs, which come in 450W (B450-MB), 550W (B550-MB), 650W (B650-MB), 700W (B700-MB), 800W (B800-MB), and 1000W (B1000-MB) variants. The 450W is good for single card builds, 550W thru 700W for dual-card builds, and 800W thru 1000W for triple-card ones. These units feature semi-modular cabling with flat modular cables, a colorful rubber/silicone frame lining the unit's edges called Anti3s Q-Brick, which absorbs vibrations to reduce noise, and a hydraulic bearing 135 mm fan.

Tacens Intros Radix 6 Series PSUs

Tacens announced the sixth-generation of its Radix series power supplies. The series includes 550W, 650W, 750W, and 850W models; all of which feature single +12V rail designs, and over 85% efficiency (according to the company), making them 80 Plus Bronze eligible. The 550W variant features a single 6+2 pin PCIe power connector, the 650W and 750W models feature two, and the 850W model features four. All four are cooled by 140 mm Aura Pro fans. In addition to the four standard Radix ATX v2.3 PSUs, Tacens also introduced two Radix Eco series PSU models, 500W and 400W. The Radix Eco 500W sticks to the standard ATX form-factor, while the 400W model is built in the SFF ATX form-factor. Both Eco models lack PCIe power connectors.

Scythe Unveils Gouriki Mid-Range PSUs

Scythe Japan unveiled its Gouriki mid-range PSU series. Consisting of 500W (SPGRN-500), 600W (SPGRN-600), and 700W (SPGRN-700) models, the series consists of 80 Plus Bronze-certified PSUs with fixed-cabling. The cables are not sleeved, and the PSU's body doesn't have any paint. It appears, however, that Scythe tried to spin this to its advantage, by referring to it as a design element it calls "Naked Herculean Strength" (not a case of bad-translation, it's literally what Scythe prints on its PSUs).

All three models feature a single 12V rail design, and a compliance/feature-set that includes ATX12 Ver2.3/EPS 12V, OCP, OVP, OTP, SCP, and UVP. A 120 mm fan is employed to cool the units. PCI-Express power connectors include 6+2-pin and 6-pin power connectors for all models. The power connector loadouts of the three models differ only with the numbers of SATA and Molex connectors available. The 500W (SPGRN-500), 600W (SPGRN-600), and 700W (SPGRN-700) models are priced at 5,980, 6,980, 7,980 JPY, respectively (US $72, $84, $96, respectively).

Shuttle's Z77-based XPC Z77R5 Pictured

Shuttle unveiled the XPC Z77R5 mini-PC barebone at CeBIT. It is built into a familiar-looking XPC chassis, but with a new motherboard based on the Intel Z77 chipset, which lends it support for "Ivy Bridge" Core i7/i5/i3 processors out of the box, apart from support for LGA1155 "Sandy Bridge" processors. Connectors include six USB 2.0, four USB 3.0, HDMI, DVI, RJ-45 (gigabit Ethernet), 2x SATA 6 Gb/s, eSATA, and 8-ch HD audio. There are four expansion slots, one PCI-Express 3.0 x16, one PCI-Express 2.0 x4, and two mini-PCIe.

The chassis includes drive bays for 1 5.25" drive (such as optical drives), two internal+exposed 3.5" bays, for gadgets such as card readers. The power supply is rated at 500W, with 80 Plus Bronze efficiency rating. The XPC Z77R5 chassis measures 32.5 x 21.5 x 19.8 cm (DxWxH). Pricing and availability information was not given out.
