SilverStone RL04 Mid-Tower Chassis Revealed

SilverStone is now preparing a new Redline series PC case, a mid-tower called RL04 which is painted black both inside and out and offers support for ATX and micro ATX motherboards, and for graphics cards up to 11.5 inches long.

The RL04 measures 220 (W) x 480 (H) x 523 (D) mm, it weights 6.2 kg and has two side-placed USB 3.0 ports, four 5.25-inch and five 3.5/2.5-inch drive bays, seven PCI slots, and one 120 mm front intake fan. No word yet on the case's price tag.

Sonnet Debuts Echo Express II Thunderbolt Expansion Chassis for PCI Express Cards

Sonnet today announced the Echo Express II, the newest member of the company's popular Echo family of Thunderbolt expansion chassis for PCIe cards. Featuring two PCIe slots, the new Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion chassis enables the use of a wide variety of high-performance PCI Express cards, originally designed for use in desktop computers, with any computer equipped with a Thunderbolt port.

The Echo Express II was designed for users needing a compact solution to connect two PCIe cards to their computers, and supports the majority of Thunderbolt-compatible PCIe cards. Xigmatek Readies the Talon Mid-Tower Chassis

Xigmatek is currently preparing the introduction of Talon, the first PC case in the company's new, Stealth Series offering. The Talon is a mid-tower chassis which features a rubber coating on its top and front panels, support for ATX, micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards, three 5.25-inch and eight 3.5-inch bays (five 3.5-inch trays can be used to hold 2.5-inch drives), two top-placed USB 3.0 ports, and a side window.

Xigmatek's case also has two pre-installed fans - a 200 mm model in front and a 140 mm spinner at the rear, and can house graphics cards up to 330 mm long. The Talon's price tag is not yet known.

NOX Releases the Media HD HTPC Chassis

NOX has recently made available the Media HD , a HTPC-ready PC case that measures 140 x 360 x 450 mm and offers support for ATX, micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards. This chassis weights 3.0 kg, has an aluminum front panel, one 5.25-inch and one 3.5-inch slots, two USB 2.0 ports, seven PCI slots, and two built-in 60 mm fans (both at the rear).

The Media HD can be found priced at €45.27 (~ $57.85).

SilverStone Precision PS08 Micro-ATX Chassis to Reach Europe Next Week

SilverStone has just announced that its Precision PS08 compact PC case will be reaching European stores on November 19. Pictured below, the chassis 168 (W) x 355 (H) x 400 (D) mm, it weights 3.46 kg, and has a black coating (both inside and out), two front-placed USB 3.0 ports, two 5.25-inch, one 2.5-inch and four 3.5-inch bays, and two pre-installed fans - 120 mm in front, 80 mm at the back.

The PS08 can hold micro ATX and mini-ITX motherboards, it supports graphics cards up to 14.1 inches long and CPU coolers up to 140 mm tall, and it has a recommended price tag of €30 (VAT not included).

Xigmatek Announces the Alfar PC Chassis

Xigmatek has now unveiled its newest PC case, the Alfar midi-tower which is set to start shipping at the end of this month (November 30th). Coming in three versions (with either a black, silver or orange painted front mesh), Alfar measures 195 x 445 x 505 mm, it weights 6 kg and has support for ATX, micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards, a top-placed I/O panel with two USB 3.0 ports, three 5.25-inch, four 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch bays, plus two pre-installed 120 mm fans (front and back).

The Alfar costs €49.90 and is available (for pre-order) through Caseking.de.

Corsair Entry Level Carbide 200R Chassis Starts Selling

Corsair announced the most affordable case in its lineup, the Carbide Series 200R (model: CC-9011023-WW). Priced at just US $59.99, the ATX mid-tower aims to offer most of Corsair's signature features that helped established its brand. The case goes with the catchphrase "...the only time you'll need to pick up a screwdriver is to install the motherboard." Measuring 490 x 270 x 560 mm, the case is made of SECC steel and ABS plastic. Its storage area includes three 5.25-inch and four 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays.

The four 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays are arranged in a cage towards the bottom, which leaves a lot of room for long graphics cards - up to 43 cm long. The motherboard tray seats ATX and micro-ATX motherboards, it features cutouts that help you deal with CPU cooler back-plates and pesky cables. As for ventilation, the 200R features a total of five 140/120 mm fan mounting locations and three 120 mm mount locations, arranged in the front, rear, top, and side panel. Its front-panel includes two USB 3.0 ports (standard header, with 2.0/1.1 adapter, and front-panel audio (HD audio header).

SilverStone Unveils the Sugo SG09 SFF PC Chassis

SilverStone is now preparing the release of a new PC case, a SFF (small form factor) model called Sugo SG09 that supports micro ATX, mini ITX and DTX motherboards. Set to become available in about two weeks, the chassis measures 220 (W) x 295 (H) x 354 (D) mm, it weights 5.3 kg, and features two front-placed USB 3.0 ports, one (slim) 5.25-inch bay, two 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch bays, and three pre-installed fans (one 120 mm spinner at the rear, one on the side and a 180 mm Air Penetrator on top).

The Sugo SG09 supports CPU coolers up to 165 mm tall and graphics cards up to 13.3-inch long, and is set to cost 90 Euro.

Lian Li Introduces the PC-D8000 Chassis

Xigmatek is now preparing the release of a new Asgard Series PC Case, a mid-tower called Asgard 382 which will be available in no less than six versions (three with a side window, three without). Seen below, this upcoming gaming chassis measures 505 (L) x 445 (H) x 195 (W) mm, has support for ATX, micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards, and features two top-placed USB 3.0 ports, three 5.25-inch bays, four 3.5-inch and four 2.5-inch drive bays, plus one pre-installed 120 mm fan (found at the back).

The Asgard 382 has yet to be priced.

Enermax Releases White Version of the Ostrog PC Chassis

After the official presentation of the Ostrog case series in June, it is continuously growing in popularity. Fitted with features and functions that are normally reserved for the premium-class models, the midi tower offers much comfort and a lot of space at an affordable price.

According to the hardware configuration, end users can upgrade the Ostrog cooling system up to maximum seven fans. Lian Li's Gargantuan PC-D8000 Chassis Detailed

Stocking up for the next time hard drive makers use natural calamities as pretense to inflate prices and still turn record financial results? It's Lian Li to the rescue. The aluminum chassis specialist unveiled PC-D8000, a massive full-ATX tower case with room for twenty hard drives. Measuring a gargantuan 405 x 628 x 572 mm (WxDxH), and weighing 26 lbs (13 kg), the PC-D8000 packs twenty 3.5-inch drive bays arranged in two stacks that span the entire height of the case in the front portion. In addition, the case packs six 5.25-inch bays, from which one features front-panel ports.

Internally, the case features a detachable motherboard and expansion card tray, letting you install the motherboard and add-on cards outside the case. The tray supports HPTX form-factor motherboards (such as EVGA SR-X), and graphics cards as long as 410 mm (16-inch). The case provides room for two PSUs, letting you set up redundant power supply, or combine the power output of two units, by wiring them to different components. We spy as many as eighteen provisions for 140 mm fans. German retailer Alternate.de lists the PC-D8000 for pre-order, priced at 329 Euros.

AeroCool Readies Mechatron Black Edition Chassis

AeroCool's fourth addition to its PC case lineup this fall is the Mechatron Black Edition, following the XPreadator X3 Devil Red and White Edition, and Strike-X Air. Part of the PGS B (performance gaming series black) line of cases, the Mechatron Black Edition is an ATX mid-tower with all-black interiors and mostly-black transformer-esque exteriors. 0.6 mm-thick SECC steel makes up its frame and most of its panels. Internally, the case is spacious enough for CPU coolers 175 mm tall, and video cards 330 mm long.

The Mechatron Black Edition is one of the very few cases with 2.5-inch drive bays that are not adopted from 3.5-inch ones. The case features three 2.5-inch internal bays, four 3.5-inch bays, and three 5.25-inch bays. The motherboard tray features valved cutouts for cabling, and a large cutout around the CPU and memory areas. The bottom-mounted PSU tray is designed for extra-long PSUs, with dust filters.

AeroCool Strike-X Air Open Chassis Pictured

Alongside the XPreadator X3 Devil Red and White Editions, the new Strike-X Air is among four new cases the company has planned for launch in Fall, 2012. Featuring the distinct black+red styling characteristic of the Strike-X family of cases, PSUs, and notebook coolers from AeroCool, the new Strike-X Air is an open case designed for enthusiasts that need quick access to components, but like to keep components organized (not laid out on a table). Lian Li Announces PC-V650 ATX Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd, today announces an aluminum ATX supported chassis with a side mounted power supply design - PC-V650. With the power supply to be mounted on its side, the PC-V650 is shorter than most ATX chassis while still having room to install the hardware that DIY builders desire.

Instead of sitting underneath the expansion slots, a power supply up 230mm (9.0") in length can be placed sideways parallel to the expansions slots, adding to the width of the case. With this design the 360mm (14.1") tall and 251mm (9.8") wide PC-V650 does not need the extra height to fit DIY builder's preferred components.
