SilverStone Rolls Out the Precision PS09 Micro-ATX Chassis

SilverStone made an addition to its Precision line of noise-optimized cases, the PS09. This micro-ATX case measures 170 mm x 359.8 mm x 406.6 mm (WxHxD), dry-weighing about 3.34 kg, and made of steel and plastic. Its panels feature noise-dampening foam padding. Internally, the PS09 has room for standard micro-ATX motherboards and mini-ITX motherboards, the motherboard tray features cutouts for CPU cooler and cable management. There's room for add-on cards 35.8 cm long, and CPU coolers 14 cm tall. It features a top-oriented PSU bay. Drive bays includes a couple of 5.25-inchers, four 3.5-inchers, and a 2.5-incher. Ventilation includes just the 120 mm front intake, and 80 mm rear exhaust. SilverStone didn't reveal pricing.

Xigmatek Nebula Mini-ITX Chassis Available Now

Xigmatek announced availability of its Nebula cubical mini-ITX chassis. Unlike other monolithic cubical cases with bluntly rounded edges, the Nebula features a few interesting design bits. You'll find the case seated on a chrome bottom-tier, and an equally suspended top-tier. The black panels feature a piano-black finish. One of its edges is sliced into with the case's power LED glowing in amber/orange. Front panel connectivity includes a pair of USB 3.0 ports (standard header) and HDA front-panel jacks.

Under the hood, the Xigmatek Nebula features room for a normal-sized mini-ITX motherboard, with room for up to 200 mm long dual-slot graphics cards (an ASUS DirectCU Mini will make it). There's also room for CPU coolers that are up to 80 mm tall. Its storage area has room for two 3.5/2.5-inch drives, with no optical drive slots on offer. There's room for a standard ATX/EPS power supply. The case passively draws in air from bottom vents, a 120 mm Xigmatek XOF PWM-controlled fan pushes hot air out from the rear.

DeepCool Unveils the Tesseract Mid-Tower PC Chassis

In addition to revealing the Pangu, DeepCool has this week introduced a second mid-tower PC case, a model called Tesseract. Set to arrive in black and white versions, the chassis measures 472 x 210 x 454 mm, it weighs 5.1 kg, and features a mesh front panel, top-placed audio and USB (one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0) ports, seven PCI slots, and support for ATX and micro-ATX motherboards, and for graphics cards up to 305 mm in length.

The Tesseract offers three 5.25-inch bays, three 2.5-inch, and four 3.5-inch drive trays and comes equipped with two 120 mm fans - one with LEDs in front, and one light-free at the rear. For extra cooling, there's the option to install an extra four 120 mm fans - two on the top panel and two on the side. No word yet on pricing.

Besides allowing for a 240mm radiator to be placed on a hinged bracket, the PC-10N forgoes the traditional motherboard tray, and instead implements a railing mount design for increased thermal performance and better cable management. A hinged bracket directly across the CPU allows DIY builders to install a 240mm radiator in the PC-10N. The bracket secured by thumbscrews can be swung open on its hinge to allow for easy access of the internal components.

Akasa Unveils Galileo Thin Mini-ITX Fanless Chassis

First surfaced in March, Akasa's Gelileo concept made headlines with its unique approach to passive CPU cooling in silent HTPCs. The case uses a little over a third of its body as a discrete aluminum fin heatsink that's partitioned from the rest of the case, and draws heat from the CPU over heat pipes.
