Steam Greenlight will allow developers and publishers to post information and media about their game in an effort to convince the Community that their game should be released on Steam. Greenlight piggybacks on Steam Workshop's flexible system that organizes content and lets customers rate and leave feedback.

Valve announced today it will bring Steam, Valve's gaming service, and Source, Valve's gaming engine, to the Mac. Over 300 police officers in China's northern port city Tianjin were "mobilized" to an internet cafe Wednesday for a three-day competition of the terrorism-themed computer game Counter-Strike. Han Zhen, a tactical instructor of Tianjin police, says the game is a close resemblance to real-life scenarios and enhances the terrorism awareness of Tianjin's police force while also sharpening their anti-terrorist skills. Since the competition was announced in March, almost half of the entire Tianjin force are now regular players.
