The company had teased this card in mid-January, but is yet to formally launch it. The card combines a juiced up variant of the RX 6900 XT Red Devil PCB with a full-coverage water-block supplied by EK Water Blocks. This block is derived from EK's QuantumVector RX 6000 family, and features nickel-plated copper as its main material, paired with an acrylic top that's studded with addressable-RGB LEDs. The card is expected to come with slightly higher clock speeds than the air-cooled Red Devil Limited Edition. The package also includes a PowerColor-exclusive set of coolant dyes.

EK Water Blocks May Be Preparing a Thermoelectric CPU Cooler

In a recent YouTube video from Linus Tech Tips titled "The Fastest Gaming PC in the World!...For Now!" a new cooler from EK Water Blocks is shown. The cooler is paired with a binned Intel Core-i9 10900K running 5.4 GHz and 360 mm front radiator. The cooler was largely censored but we can see a number of cables coming off the block including a PCI-E power cable which helps the suggestion that the cooler is a thermoelectric cooling device (TEC) utilizing the Peltier effect to transfer heat from the CPU. Thermoelectric coolers require significant power to run with the EK cooler in question being used in a 1600w power supply system. Thermoelectric coolers aren't a new invention but haven't taken off in the PC realm due to power and cost concerns so it will be interesting to see if EK is able to buck the trend.

EK Water Blocks Readies Radeon RX 6000 and Ryzen 5000 Water Blocks

These newly developed XC3 water blocks feature optimized flow paths that reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing (dead spots) inside of them. An Open Split-Flow cooling engine design is implemented, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, meaning it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running on low-speed settings, and still achieve top performance. The jet plate and fin structure geometry have been optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance when used in any given coolant flow orientation, unlike some products that are currently available on the market.

ASUS ROG Maximus XII Extreme Gundam Motherboard Pictured

Here's the first picture of the ASUS ROG Maximus XII Extreme Gundam, a new Socket LGA1200 motherboard based on the Intel Z490 chipset, courtesy of VideoCardz. Based on the original Maximus XII Extreme, the Extreme Gundam is a step-up, and comes with a custom-design full-coverage water block, and styling resembling that of a Gundam mecha. Vast bits of silver covering the acrylic top of the FC block, fuse with bright bits of blue, red, and yellow. Supplied by EK Water Blocks, the full-coverage water block cools the processor, CPU VRM, and the Z490 PCH. It's also possible that the M.2 heatsinks on the board shed some of their heat onto the block. The board is otherwise identical to the original Maximus XII Extreme. We're also getting to learn that ASUS has a whole lineup of products planned, based on the Gundam theme.

EK Releases a Perfect Cable Management System for RGB Cables

EK, the leading computer cooling solutions provider, is introducing the EK-Loop CMS, a cable management system comprised of six touch fasteners and a self-adhesive fabric. These stylish fasteners envelop the joint connection of the RGB connectors on each side and strap them together. EK Expands Flow Indicator Portfolio With Nickel Variants

This standalone nickel-plated flow indicator features three female G1/4" ports. It can be mounted in the middle of a tube-run with two fittings or fastened to any G1/4" port on a radiator, pump, or even a block by using a dual male-threaded extender. Any of the ports can be used as either inlet or outlet. It can be installed in a straight flow-through setup, or it can replace a 90° angled fitting or a 90° bend in your loop.

EK Launches High-Performance White Vardar D-RGB Fans

EK Water Blocks, the premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is releasing the white version of its 120 mm addressable D-RGB Vardar fans. The frame is made in a matte white, with milky white fan blades that diffuse the light. Another added benefit is the ability to daisy-chain the RGB of these Vardar fans. As their black counterparts, they also incorporate the Extended Range (ER) of the PWM operation feature and the special Start-Stop function which allows for a true 0 dB experience and truly silent environment. With this feature, not only will you be able to enjoy a totally silent PC, but it also proves to be very useful in preventing radiator dust buildup if your PC is idling for prolonged periods. All of this expands the lifespan of the fan.

These fans have a dual ball bearing, most commonly used in industrial fan applications. The operational range starts at 500rpm and goes all the way to 2200rpm. This extended range allows for a wide range of scenarios, covering the requirement of either silence or high performance in a single fan. Aside from the low rpm operation, the fan features a Start-Stop function that will provide the user with a true 0 dB noise environment. When a fan curve is set with the minimum threshold point below 25-30% PWM duty cycle (depending on the motherboard model), the motor and electronics will turn off and the fan will simply stop spinning. EK-Vardar EVO 120ER D-RGB - White restarts operation automatically as fan control ramps up its operational duty cycle past threshold start-stop point.
