GIGABYTE has unveiled its new AORUS 17X and AORUS 16X 2024 laptops at CES 2024, showing off the new WINDFORCE Infinity cooling system and giving them a refresh with Intel 14th Gen CPUs and NVIDIA RTX 40 series GPUs. Both models come with up to Intel Core i9-14900HX 24-core CPU, GIGABYTE's AI Nexus technology, and the new WINDFORCE Infinity cooling system, which has all new fans, 0 db cooling, and 3D VortX technology, which uses four air outlets and two inlets combined with five sets of heatpipes.

NVIDIA has released the latest version of its GeForce graphics drivers, the GeForce 546.34 WHQL Game Ready drivers. The GeForce 546.34 WHQL Game Ready drivers bring the same game optimizations and fixes that were previously introduced with GeForce 546.33 WHQL drivers release, which include optimizations and support for DLSS 3 in THE FINALS and Squad games, as well as support for DLSS Super Resolution in Fortnite Chapter 5. The only new thing with this release is the support for the newly announced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090D graphics card released in China.

The list of fixes include muted colors when streaming gameplay with Discord and multiplication of the NVIDIA system tray icon whenever user is switched in Windows.

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 40 series lineup of graphics cards has been supporting massive cooler designs ranging from three to four slots in thickness, with gamers rarely even getting a standard two-slot solution available. However, GALAX recently announced a novel entry into this lineup: the RTX 4060 Ti Max 16 GB Unparalleled Max, a GPU noted for its unprecedented single-slot design and exceptionally thin 20 mm profile. This model, previously previewed on GALAX's China website, stands out with its unique vapor chamber cooling system paired with a copper heatsink, diverging from the typical multi-fan setups seen in the market. Measuring at 267x111x20 mm, the design is very friendly towards smaller cases with room for only a single slot cooler.

The RTX 4060 Ti Max is set to operate at a default clock speed of 2535 MHz, with a power target of 165 Watts, suggesting a solid performance base for all GPU-intensive sessions. Currently, GALAX has yet to indicate the availability of an 8 GB version or the inclusion of a non-Ti model with this cooler, as only a 16 GB version has been shown. Interestingly, GALAX has made overclocking the card possible; however, the voltage regulation module setup is 6+2 VRMs placed on a six-layer PCB, not providing an ideal overclocking setup. Let the games begin - this GFN Thursday brings the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III to the cloud, the first Activision title on GeForce NOW as part of the NVIDIA and Microsoft partnership. It's joined by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone - all three titles can be played from one central location via the Call of Duty logo on GeForce NOW.

And it's the most wonderful time of the year - over 65 games are joining the GeForce NOW library in December, with 15 available to stream this week. Plus, stream GeForce NOW on the go and get console-quality controls by simply snapping a mobile device into a Backbone One controller.
