SilverStone gave its iconic Raven Z console-sized mini-ITX gaming PC chassis an update, with the RVZ02. The case now has a new front facade that's a departure from the ridged RVZ01, with fewer design character lines, and a cool "V-shaped" central LED cluster. The case has room for a standard-height mini-ITX motherboard, a full-height dual-slot graphics card, an SFX form-factor PSU, a slimline optical drive bay, and multiple internal 2.5-inch drives.

The demo build by SilverStone at the Computex show-floor dropped jaws, with a Core i7 "Haswell-E" processor, SilverStone Argon AR06 low-profile CPU cooler, ASRock X99E-ITX/ac motherboard, 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4-2933 memory by GeIL, ASUS GeForce GTX 980 STRIX graphics, SilverStone SX600-G SFX power supply, and an ADATA 256 GB SSD.

Fractal Design showed off its latest wares at Computex, beginning with the Node 202 and Node 202+ mini-ITX cases for HTPC builds. Featuring a slick, minimalist design, and dimensions that compare to game consoles (10.2L volume, 377 x 82 x 330 mm), the Node 202 has room for a standard-height mini-ITX motherboard, CPU coolers up to 56 mm tall, an SFX power supply, a full-height, dual-slot graphics card (using a PCIe x16 riser) up to 31 cm long; and two 2.5-inch internal drives.

There are two 120 mm fan mounts in the add-on card chamber, with dust filters. One such dust filter hovers over the CPU socket area, so your cooler doesn't breathe in dust. The Node 202+ has all that, plus a factory-fitted Fractal Design Integra 450W SFX PSU, with 80 Plus Bronze certification, 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, and two each of 6+2 pin PCIe and SATA power connectors. The Node 202 will be priced at US $79.99; the Node 202+ will go for $139.99.

ASRock is designing multiple Fatal1ty Killer branded socket LGA1151 motherboards, which it plans to differentiate using a new naming scheme - K3, K4, and K6. The company showed off some of its latest such boards at Computex. The series is led by the Z170 Gaming K6, followed by the Z170 Gaming K4, H170 Performance, and the Z170-e ITX. All four feature the familiar red+black color scheme, and Fatal1ty branding.

The Z170 Gaming K6 leads the pack with a strong 13-phase VRM, 3-way multi-GPU support, dual-channel DDR4-3000 support, dual SATA-Express 16 Gb/s, Ultra M.2 (32 Gb/s), Killer E2200 NIC, and high-end 115 dBA SNR audio. The Z170 Gaming K4 and H170 Performance share a common PCB design, offering all essentials from this platform, and are intended for gaming PC builds with single graphics cards; the Z170 ITX offers a decent feature-set despite its space constraints, including mSATA, Ultra M.2 (32 Gb/s), SATA-Express 16 Gb/s, and USB 3.1 ports. ASRock did not finalize heatsink design.

Corsair, PC gaming hardware leader, today at Computex unveiled Bulldog, the first DIY PC built exclusively to bring the vivid immersion of 4K gaming to the living room. They've done it! After building the first LGA2011v3 motherboard in the mini-ITX form-factor, letting you cram up to 8 "Haswell" cores into a lunchbox-sized PC, albeit having to make do with just dual-channel memory; ASRock developed the first mini-ITX motherboard with not just LGA2011v3, but also its full quad-channel memory interface, called the EPC612D4I. There's just one rider, which shouldn't really be a dealbreaker - this is a server-grade motherboard, and is bound to be expensive.

The EPC612D4I achieves its quad-channel memory chops by using smaller DDR4 SO-DIMM slots instead of standard-sized DIMM slots. Availability of aftermarket DDR4 SO-DIMM memory is close to non-existent, but that could change with 6th Generation Core processor notebooks hitting the shelves by Holiday 2015. As an enterprise board, it also supports Xeon E5-1600 V3 and E5-2600 V3 processors.

You know XIGMATEK pulled out its sunglasses, SPF, and flip-flops, when it launches its latest cube-shaped case, the Nebula C, in fab pink, purple, yellow, and two Summery shades of green (emerald and lime). Built with SECC steel frames, the Nebula-C is studded with glossy ABS panels, which appear to be the same material Apple and Nokia use on their colorful phones (albeit thicker). As with other Nebula-series cases, there's a signature orange cutout at the bottom-left.

The Nebula C is a cube-shaped mini-ITX chassis, with room for a standard-height mini-ITX build (up to 80 mm tall CPU cooler), two expansion slots holding room for a full-height graphics card (up to 230 mm long), one each of 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch internal drive bays, a standard-size ATX PSU, a 120 mm rear spinner, passive vents at the bottom, and USB 3.0 front-panel ports. Measuring 260 mm (L) x 260 mm (W) x 305 mm (H), the case weighs a little over 3.5 kg.

A week after its debut as part of CyberPowerPC's Trinity gaming desktop, DeepCool launched the GamerStorm TriStellar mini-ITX chassis, so PC enthusiasts can cram in whatever hardware they want. It may be designed for mini-ITX motherboards only, but this is not a lunchbox sized case you can tuck away behind your flatscreen. It measures 435 mm x 395 mm x 388 mm (WxDxH), and takes up the same volume inside a carton as a cubical ATX case of comparable dimensions would.

Its design involves three temperature-isolated chambers with a triangular projection, which converge at a central hub for cabling to route between them. The bottom-right chamber houses a standard-height mini-ITX motherboard tray with just enough clearance for a stock CPU cooler (up to 80 mm height), or an AIO liquid cooling block with a 120 mm radiator. The bottom-left chamber houses the standard ATX PSU bay, a slimline optical drive bay, and two 3.5-inch drive bays. The top chamber has three expansion slot covers, although there's just one PCI-Express gen 3.0 x16 riser. There's enough volume for a GeForce GTX TITAN-Z dual-GPU graphics card. This chamber offers another three 3.5-inch tray-type drive bays with hot-plugging back-planes and 2.5-inch support. DeepCool didn't disclose pricing.

CyberPower Inc., a global manufacturer of custom gaming PCs, gaming laptops, and performance workstations, today announced it is taking orders for its Trinity gaming PC, a striking new concept in gaming PC design that splits the common hulking tower enclosure into three distinct "blades."

The CYPOWERPC Trinity is both an exercise in radical case design and a case study on the benefits of component compartmentalization. While the case defies imagination, there is a method to the madness of segregating certain components from others in order to dissipate heat while not sacrificing performance.

GIGABYTE rolled out its latest GeForce GTX 960, designed for space-constrained builds, the GV-N960IX-2GD. This full-height graphics card is just 18.1 cm long, and should squeeze into most compact cubical ITX cases. It features a custom-design PCB that draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector; mated to a compact single-fan cooling solution, which uses a single 90 mm fan to ventilate a dense aluminium fin heatsink, to which heat drawn directly from the GPU die is fed by a pair of 8 mm thick copper heat pipes.

The card offers out of the box clock speeds of 1127 MHz core, 1178 MHz GPU Boost, and 7.00 GHz memory (all reference), and features 2 GB of GDDR5 memory across the chip's 128-bit wide memory interface. Display outputs include a pair of dual-link DVI connectors, and one each of HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2. Based on the 28 nm GM206 silicon, the GeForce GTX 960 features 1,024 CUDA cores based on the "Maxwell" architecture. The company didn't announce pricing or availability information.

Colorful Technology, the biggest NVIDIA AIC in China, announced its ITX edition GTX960, named the iGame GTX960 2GD5 BURI-Mini. The card is 168 mm in length, and it can be easily installed in congested ITX and mATX cases.

Colorful iGame GTX960 2GD5 BURI-Mini features Colorful-designed cooler, with two 8 mm and one 6 mm heat-pipes. On the PCB, Colorful uses 5 phases VRM, which is equipped all POSCAP capacitors. Like the other iGame series cards, this one also provide two different clocks models. In power efficiency mode, it runs at 1127/7010MHz; and in performance efficiency mode, the clock is set at 1152/7010MHz.

Antec introduces the VSP-5000, an entry-level enclosure for gamers that offers whisper-quiet operation at an outstanding price-performance ratio. The newest midi-tower of the California-based company combines exceptional sound-dampening properties and top-notch performance. The side panels of the enclosure are crafted from sound deadening high density Polycarbonate. Continuing its recent focus on premium grade cooling components for compact systems such as ITX based gaming or Home Theater PCs, Noctua today released its new NH-L9x65 low-profile cooler and a 4-pin PWM version of its popular NF-A6x25 60mm fan. While the latter adds PWM support for automatic speed control to the proven NF-A6x25 design, the NH-L9x65 is a taller, performance-enhanced version of Noctua's award-winning NH-L9 low-profile coolers.

"Our NH-L9 coolers have become a default choice for customers seeking premium grade quiet coolers in the sub-40mm class, but with a height of only 37mm, their performance is inevitably limited", explains Mag. Akasa made two stylish new additions to its slim mini-ITX case lineup, the Euler T, and Euler M. Built completely with chunky aluminium panels that double up as heatsinks for the CPU, capable of passive cooling CPUs with TDP of up to 35W, the Euler T is an evolution of the Euler S. It's a minor redesign that creates room for three 2.5-inch drive bays. Measuring 245 x 215.5 x 68.5 mm, it dry weighs in at 2.5 kg. The Euler M, on the other hand, is the largest in the series, yet. While the case can still only handle 35W CPUs, it comes with a slightly larger 80W power supply, and room for four 2.5-inch drives. It can seat regular thickness mini-ITX motherboards, with regular memory modules. Measuring 245 x 274.5 x 68.5 mm, it weighs 3 kg. Available starting a little later this month, both cases will sell for $250 a pop.

Phanteks introduce their first Mini ITX, a budget oriented chassis that uses metal exterior, to their EVOLV lineup in the Enthoo Series. The case has many useful features, such as a unique bracket solution for a radiator on top and a multi-functional mid plate bracket for a reservoir, pump, and SSD/HDD.

The Enthoo EVOLV ITX retains the minimalist design from the original EVOLV and features a metal exterior. The case measures at 9.1 x 14.8 x 15.6 inches and is equipped with 1x PH-F200SP fan, front I/O port, 1x SSD Bracket, and 2x 3.5" removable HDD bracket.

ASUS announced the GeForce GTX 960 Mini, a graphics card that combines the company's renowned compact mini-ITX friendly board design, with NVIDIA's latest performance-segment GPU. The GTX 960 Mini (model: GTX960-MOC-2GD) looks identical in design to the GTX 670 Mini and the GTX 760 Mini. The full-height PCB is just 17 cm long, and features a dense heatpipe-fed toroidal aluminium fin-stack heatsink that's ventilated by a "CoolTech" fan, which is a hybrid between top-flow and lateral-flow blowers.

The card is factory-overclocked, and comes with 1190 MHz core, 1253 MHz GPU Boost, and an untouched 7.00 GHz memory; against reference clocks of 1126/1178 MHz. The card draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. A solid brushed-aluminium back-plate adds to its appeal. Display outputs include one each of dual-link DVI, HDMI 2.0, and three DisplayPort 1.2 connectors. ASUS didn't reveal pricing or availability.

Phanteks covered all its bases of its Enthoo EVOLV series, with one for the budding mini-ITX form-factor, the Enthoo EVOLV ITX. Retaining the design of its bigger siblings, this case seats a mini-ITX motherboard in a standard perpendicular tray, with two expansion slots.

Inside, it's partitioned into two halves, the bottom one holding the PSU tray and a few drive bays, while the upper one is almost exclusively a motherboard tray, with several clever fan-mounting features. For example, the case can hold three 120 mm fans on its top, and a tray holding those, slides out. There's no dearth of room, and you can install CPU coolers as tall, and graphics cards as long, as you would on a conventional ATX tower.

Right before for Christmas Thermalright presents two new CPU coolers, which have been designed especially for fans of compact Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX systems: The Macho 90 and the Silver Arrow ITX.

The Macho 90 is the newest member of our highly successful Macho Family and rounds off the series. The layout is tailored to fit the typical limitations encountered when dealing with small sized Mini-ITX motherboards. The height of just 135 mm allows the installation of the cooler in various compact PC cases. In order to avoid incompatibilities to RAM modules or motherboard components as much as possible, the nearly square heatsink has been placed directly above the CPU-socket.

Cooltek launched the UMX1 Plus premium mini-ITX chassis. Available in a standard and windowed (UMX1 Plus-Window) variant, the case comes in black and silver color options, with brushed aluminium panels decking it. The windowed variant features a tinted acrylic sheet entirely making up the side panel. The aluminium panels of this case are a healthy 2 mm thick, while its SGCC steel frame is 0.8 to 1 mm thick.

Internally, the case has a typical tower-type arrangement, but with a standard ATX PSU bay towards its front side. The case has room for a mini-ITX motherboard, a dual-slot graphics card up to 270 mm long, a CPU cooler up to 130 mm tall, and a PSU up to 160 mm long. Drive bays include one 3.5-inch, and two 2.5-inch. Ventilation is care of a 120 mm top exhaust, and an 80 mm rear exhaust, with passive intake vents at the bottom. In a bid to be the first with a mini-ITX friendly graphics card based on the GeForce GTX 900 series, ASUS is giving final touches to the GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU Mini (model: GTX970-DCMOC-4GD5). At the surface, this card looks identical to the GTX 760 and GTX 670 DirectCU Mini graphics cards from the company, since it uses the same exact cooler. Under the hood is a swanky factory overclocked GeForce GTX 970 chip, with 1088 MHz core, 1228 MHz GPU Boost, and an untouched 7.00 GHz memory. The card features a solid matte back-plate. It draws power from a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. Display outputs include two dual-link DVI, and one each of HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 connectors. ASUS didn't reveal pricing or availability details.
