Scythe Unveils Shuriken 2 SCSK-2000 Low-profile CPU Cooler

Scythe unveiled the low-profile Shuriken 2 SCSK-2000 CPU cooler (not to be confused with the Big Shuriken series of large top-flow coolers). With a height of 58 mm (with the fan in place), the SCSK-2000 is meant for compact Mini-ITX desktop builds with fairly high thermal loads of around 100 W TDP. Its design consists of a dense aluminium fin-stack arranged along the plane of the motherboard, to which heat drawn indirectly through a nickel-plated copper base-plate is conveyed by four 6 mm-thick heat pipes. The heatsink is ventilated by Kaze Flex 92 Slim PWM fan. This 92 mm spinner takes in 4-pin PWM input, spins between 200 to 2,500 RPM, and pushes 4.96 to 41.30 CFM of air, with a noise output of up to 23.2 dBA. Measuring 94 mm x 93 mm x 58 mm (WxDxH), the SCSK-2000 weighs 350 g. Among the CPU socket types supported are AM4 and LGA115x. The cooler will be available from early-December. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Scythe Announces Mugen 5 TUF Gaming Alliance Edition with RGB Enhancement

Japanese cooling expert Scythe announces a special edition of the Mugen 5 CPU Cooler as part of the ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance series. Outstanding performance with overclocking potential, high cooling efficiency and an exceptionally sophisticated heatsink design are just three of the many advantages the Scythe Mugen series has to offer. Mugen 5 TUF Gaming Alliance incorporates all the features of the acclaimed series and combines them with the unique TUF Gaming Alliance design along with exclusive RGB illumination. For an even more convenient installation, Scythe has implemented the third revision of its Hyper Precision Mounting System for Mugen 5 TUF Gaming Alliance.

The new Mugen 5 TUF Gaming Alliance CPU Cooler features a carefully designed top-cover, which incorporates the unique patterns as well as logo of the TUF Gaming Alliance series from ASUS . The large and translucent surface area in the top-plate is fitted with RGB LEDs. This illumination is further enhanced thanks to the new Kaze Flex 120 RGB fan, offering rich colors and versatile effects. Kaze Flex 120 utilizes eight RGB LEDs inside the ring around the fan motor for consistent and bright illumination. Users are able to take full control of the RGB settings by connecting the fan directly to a RGB-enabled motherboard. This way it is possible to synchronize the colors and effects using the Asus Aura or other compatible RGB systems.

Scythe Announces Katana 5 CPU Cooler

Japanese cooling expert Scythe presents the fifth generation of its popular all-round Katana CPU cooler. This new version comes with a revamped asymmetric heatsink design and total height of only 135 mm, offering unrestricted compatibility to mainboards and memory modules. The second generation of the Easy Clip Mounting System (E.C.M.S) assures a fast and easy installation process. Another key innovation of the Katana 5 is the newly developed Kaze Flex 92 PWM fan. It combines the high-quality Sealed Precision Fluid Dynamic Bearing with anti-vibration rubber spacers for silent operation and long lifespan.

The Katana series ever since the initial release aimed for great versatility. Scythe underlines this further with the release of the Katana 5, which offers optimum performance at compact dimensions and an advanced multi-socket mounting system at a competitive price. The fifth generation offers even more added value by incorporating a band new asymmetric heatsink design for unrestricted compatibility to both mainboard components and memory modules. In addition to that, all three high-quality copper heatpipes as well as the massive copper-baseplate have been nickel-plated for the fifth generation. This upgrade protects the copper from corrosion and lets Katana 5 look more unified.

Scythe Intros Kotetsu Mark II ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance CPU Cooler

Scythe today introduced an ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance co-branded variant of its Kotetsu Mark II tower-type CPU air cooler. The Kotetsu Mark II debuted late-2017. Scythe Presents the Choten Top-Flow CPU Cooler with 120 mm in Height

The Japanese cooling expert Scythe extends its product portfolio by a new Top-Flow CPU Cooler model. The new Choten CPU Cooler is able to effectively cool the CPU as well as the surrounding components thanks to the Top-Flow design by pushing the air towards the motherboard. This air circulation has a positive effect on system stability and life span of the components. Great performance along with unrestricted compatibility to high-end memory modules have been among the key factors when designing the Choten. This has been achieved by applying the asymmetric heatsink design combined with high precision manufacturing and high quality materials. The Choten CPU Cooler is bundled with the Scythe Kaze Flex 120 PWM fan and assures an easy fit into the majority of PC chassis thanks to a total height of only 120 millimeters.

Scythe Choten utilizes a total of four high-quality 6 mm copper heatpipes which are connecting the solid copper-baseplate with the fin-stack. The copper parts, such as the baseplate and heatpipes are covered by a layer of nickel, which prevents corrosion and improves the quality further. Aligning the aluminium heatsink parallel to the baseplate has the advantage that the airflow of the attached fan is guided toward the mainboard. In result, all the components surrounding the CPU socket are able to benefit from this air circulation. Outstanding memory module compatibility is achieved thanks to the asymmetric heatsink design as well as the big clearance between the heatsink and the motherboard.

Scythe Bundles New Ninja 5 CPU Cooler with Two Silent Kaze Flex 120 PWM Fans
