Lian Li Partners with Bitspower on Custom Reservoir/Pump for PC-O11 Dynamic Case

The Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic is proving to be a success for the company, with praise from reviews and customers alike. The platform has since brought out a few variations as well, but for those wanting to build in the case this holiday season and make use of the watercooling support it allows, the Sedna O11D might be of interest to you. Borne out of a collaboration between Lian Li and Bitspower, this is a custom reservoir and pump combination unit that fits in like a manifold and is slim to allow for excellent compatibility for also CPU and GPU blocks in the case without compromising on space for the rest of the custom loop.

The Sedna O11D is effectively a retail product designed like a one-off mod from talented PC modders around the world, and will allow users to have something different than the norm. It comes with what appears to be a Laing DDC pump integrated at the bottom, and also has a built-in pressure relief valve at the top to aid in air bleeding as well as a drain valve at the bottom. There is no word on pricing yet, although the product is up for purchase from Bitspower directly in which case you need to contact their sales channel via Skype. Note that this is not necessarily the first of its kind as a retail product, with other, arguably smaller, Asian brands offering similar custom reservoirs before. This is the first time a global brand has directly worked with the case maker to make such a specific product, to the best of my knowledge, and hopefully it leads to more such joint efforts.

Its design consists of all-white interiors with small bits of contrasting black, white top, right, and front panels, with the front panel being dominated by silver-tone brushed aluminium embellishments (in comparison to gunmetal-tone ones in the original). The left side panel is still tinted tempered glass. Detachable bits like drive bays, too come in white. The RGB LED diffusers along the front panel now conform to the addressable RGB standards. The rest of its feature-set is unchanged from the original.

The case still measures 450 mm x 450 mm x 275 mm, and weighs close to 10 kg owing to its mostly steel construction that relegates aluminium to just a front-panel garnish; and glass panels over the front-left and left-side panels. Lian Li to Resurrect the LanCool Brand

Lian Li announced that it is resurrecting the LanCool brand of gaming PC cases. LanCool branded cases are differentiated from the main Lian Li series in typically being of a lower cost, having more steel in place of aluminium, and breaking away from the restrained and minimalist style Lian Li is known for. LanCool cases compete with some of the more mainstream ATX mid-tower and micro-ATX tower-type cases. With the advent of RGB multi-color LED lighting, tempered glass, and horizontally-partitioned designs, Lian Li probably sees a market in resurrecting a new gaming PC case line without diluting the Lian Li identity. The first LanCool cases post its resurrection, will be shown off at the 2018 International CES, which begins later this week. Below are some of LanCool's cases that are nearly a decade old. If they look contemporary today, they would have looked ahead of their time back then.

Lian Li Alpha Series Cases Now Available

Lian Li Industrial Co. Ltd is pleased to announce the all-new Alpha series of PC cases. Where Lian Li has traditionally crafted unique, high-quality aluminium PC cases with unique design elements, the Alpha series combines that unique approach to compartmented PC chassis design and combines it with the traditional mono-space PC case. This has created a unique series of mainstream PC cases that feature Lian Li's inspiring tempered glass panels and liquid cooling potential while preserving the layout of traditional PC builds.

The quality still defies industry standards with 1 mm thick SECC steel and 4 mm thick tempered glass panels. But, a true tempered glass case is traditionally hard on cable management, that's why cable management in the Alpha series, with glass panels all-around, is a priority. With cable blinders available all-around, a PSU shroud and two-level transparency glass panels, amazingly clean builds can be made, from mini-ITX to 8-slot Extended ATX motherboards with vertical GPUs. The Lian Li Alpha series are a fresh, new performance and design direction in the PC design industry, with a minimum of protrusions and plastic in order to create a new beacon of light and sleek design in a sea of "gaming" inspired cases.

CRYORIG Releases the Taku Monitor Stand PC Case on Kickstarter

Remember the Taku Monitor Stand PC Case, that Cryorig showcased mid-2016? Well, it's now made its way to Kickstarter, a likely way for Cryorig to gauge interest in such a product whilst letting consumers foot part of the manufacturing bill. It's an interesting one, really - at least it's different from most other SFF PCs, though I've seen more compact designs. The press-release follows.

CRYORIG, the PC Cooling and peripherals innovator is releasing their first PC case project the Taku on crowdfunding website Kickstarter. The Taku, first announced and exhibited last summer, will also be shown during Computex 2017. The TAKU has been in development for over 2 years in house, with over 6 months of co-development with manufacturing partner Lian Li. The Taku Kickstarter campaign begins on May 29th and ends on July 28th. Besides offering backers the chance to be the first people to receive the Taku, backers are also offered multiple customization options only available on Kickstarter.

Lian Li Announces the PC-T70 Open-Bench Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is eager to announce the PC-T70 test bench. After productive collaboration, taking feedback from high-end PC hardware reviewers, Lian Li sought to create a test bench that could both provide unhindered access for enthusiasts who want to rapidly swap hardware, and those who like to use their test benches as a workstation. Lian Li's latest test bench is its most flexible yet - a sleek, minimal platform for easy hardware swapping, with an optional kit that encloses the bench with radiator mounts and an acrylic cover.

"Testing on an open bench requires careful planning, else it leads to misguided results. Most gamers have closed cases, affecting thermal, acoustic, and even performance results compared to exposed hardware. I'm working to represent that more accurately. While my measurements are easier to collect, more applicable, and completely objective, it was the close cooperation with Lian Li that helped move this project forward. The closed case gave me the platform I've been needing, and that readers have been asking for, to facilitate more realistic reviews." - Igor Wallossek - Senior Contributing Editor Tom's Hardware.

Lian Li ROG-Certified PC-O11WGX Now with Accessory Bundle and PCIe Riser

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd is proud to announce the PC-O11WGX, certified by Asus Republic of Gamers and updated with USB 3.1 Type-C connector on the front panel. Furthermore, the front panel features exquisite ROG silk screen detailing and improved liquid cooling compatibility.

The ROG branded PC-O11WGX has been built with feedback from Lian Li PC-O11 users. This is evident by optimized layout for disks on the rear of the chassis, it can fit three 2.5" drives. This puts more focus on liquid cooling and with space for three 360mm radiators for liquid cooling (or three 120mm fans) there is enough capacity for any thermal challenge inside the PC-O11WGX.
