Lian Li's Gargantuan PC-D8000 Chassis Detailed

Stocking up for the next time hard drive makers use natural calamities as pretense to inflate prices and still turn record financial results? It's Lian Li to the rescue. The aluminum chassis specialist unveiled PC-D8000, a massive full-ATX tower case with room for twenty hard drives. Measuring a gargantuan 405 x 628 x 572 mm (WxDxH), and weighing 26 lbs (13 kg), the PC-D8000 packs twenty 3.5-inch drive bays arranged in two stacks that span the entire height of the case in the front portion. In addition, the case packs six 5.25-inch bays, from which one features front-panel ports.

Internally, the case features a detachable motherboard and expansion card tray, letting you install the motherboard and add-on cards outside the case. The tray supports HPTX form-factor motherboards (such as EVGA SR-X), and graphics cards as long as 410 mm (16-inch). Lian Li Announces PC-V650 ATX Chassis

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd, today announces an aluminum ATX supported chassis with a side mounted power supply design - PC-V650. With the power supply to be mounted on its side, the PC-V650 is shorter than most ATX chassis while still having room to install the hardware that DIY builders desire.

Instead of sitting underneath the expansion slots, a power supply up 230mm (9.0") in length can be placed sideways parallel to the expansions slots, adding to the width of the case. Lian Li Announces Silent ATX Chassis - PC-B12

Lian-Li Industrial Co. Ltd, today announces a silent brushed aluminum ATX supported chassis - PC-B12. The PC-B12 has many features to keep noise down to minimum, including: a vent on the bottom of the chassis pulling in cool air, a downward facing exhaust baffle and noise dampening foam on the front and side panels.

The front panel of the PC-B12 has no visible vents. Instead of air entering in from the front, two 140 mm fans behind the front panel pull in cool air through the 12 cm wide (4.7") intake vent on the bottom of the chassis. Four sturdy aluminum feet with rubber bottoms to reduce vibrations give ample room for air to be pulled into the bottom vent. The rear 120 mm exhaust fan has an adjustable downward facing exhaust baffle on the exterior of the case with noise dampening foam that not only bounces the sound waves down, but also directs the hot air towards the floor.

LanCool Unveils the PC-K56N Mid-tower PC Case

Lian Li Displays PC-V700 ATX Mid-Tower

Lian Li displayed its latest ATX mid-tower case, the PC-V700 (not to be confused with PC-V700F, a different case). Decked in aluminum overall, with signature Lian Li styling, the PC-V700 fits in ATX and micro-ATX motherboards. It measures 210 x 400 x 496 mm (WxHxD). Its only exposed drive bay on its front is a valved 5.25-inch. Other drive bays include three hot-swap capable 3.5-inch bays (side), four conventional 3.5-inch bays, and two 2.5-inch bays.

Cooling fans include one 140 mm front intake, two 120 mm top exhausts, and one 120 mm rear exhaust. It features 8 expansion slot bays letting you use a double slot graphics card installed in the lowermost expansion slot. Front panel connectivity includes audio, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, and an eSATA port (extended from the motherbaord).

Lian Li New Mini-ITX Lineup Also Includes PC-Q09FN

The new mini-ITX form-factor lineup also includes the PC-Q09FN, a model we overlooked in our news coverage of the Lian Li booth. Unlike the PC-Q12, the PC-Q09FN features a shoe-box design, measuring 296 x 135 x 190 mm. Also unlike the PC-Q12, it features room for a slim optical disc drive (such as a slim Blu-ray writer), and a 3.5-inch drive. Apart from these, the PC-Q09FN features three 2.5-inch drive bays, one 120 mm fan to ventilate it from the side, and front-panel connectivity that includes two USB 3.0 ports.

Lian Li PC-Q18 Tops It Off With Features

The most feature-rich in the trio of Lian Li's new mini-ITX Q-series cases is the PC-Q18. It is designed for performance desktops and HTPCs. Measuring 199 x 290 x 365 mm (WxHxD), the PC-Q18 is designed keeping in mind the need for a performance machine to be airy, and is hence complemented with large fans. It can hold a mini-ITX form-factor motherboard with two full-height add-on card bays, hence having the ability to hold a double-slot graphics card.

Storage features include one 5.25-inch drive bay, which is valved; four (yes, four!) hot-swap capable 3.5-inch drive bays, with drive caddies that are so designed to accommodate up to three 2.5-inch drives. It has room for a 140 mm front-intake and a 140 mm top exhaust. Front-panel connectivity includes audio and USB 3.0. The chassis is made almost entirely of aluminum.

Lian Li PC-Q15 Packs More Room For Storage

The second Lian Li mini-ITX form-factor case on display, targeting the HTPC segment, is the PC-Q15. Unlike the much taller yet feature-starved PC-Q12, the PC-Q15 is diminutive, but packs several storage and expansion features. It measures 210 x 210 x 330 mm (WxHxD), is wheeled, and made almost entirely of aluminum. It has one valved 5.25-inch drive bay, one 3.5-inch hotswap-capable drive bay, and three 2.5-inch bays. It has room for one full-height expansion card. Its front-panel includes audio and USB 3.0 ports.

Lian Li PC-Q12 Stands ''Tall'' In Your Living Room

Lian Li showed off an innovative new case that looks to be designed for living rooms. Called the PC-Q12, the case seats a mini-ITX form-factor motherboard, with no expansion slots, that makes it look tall. It measures 88 x 365 x 280 mm (WxHxD), and is made almost entirely of aluminum. Surprisingly, it lacks an external drive bay, and the only storage bays it has are four internal 2.5-inch ones. It is ventilated by one top 80 mm exhaust fan. On its front-panel, it has two USB 3.0 ports.
