The X570S is a new motherboard series from AMD which offers fanless chipset cooling for silent operations. While there are currently a few passive X570 boards they come at a high price so these new X570S boards will be a welcome addition. MSI is reportedly planning to release eight new X570S motherboards to replace their high-end and mainstream X570 offerings. The MSI X570S Carbon appears to be a complete redesign rather than a chipset swap with larger heatsinks, increased SATA ports, and various other improvements.

AMD seems to be preparing a chipset refresh, and this time, it is coming straight from the top-end market. When the company launched its high-end X570 chipset, it brought the PCIe 4.0 support, which many praised due to its capability to handle much faster NVMe drives.
