MSI Fanless X570S Motherboard Lineup Leaked

The X570S is a new motherboard series from AMD which offers fanless chipset cooling for silent operations. The new motherboard series features an optimized chipset with power-saving features to achieve the fanless design. While there are currently a few passive X570 boards they come at a high price so these new X570S boards will be a welcome addition. MSI is reportedly planning to release eight new X570S motherboards to replace their high-end and mainstream X570 offerings. The MSI X570S Carbon appears to be a complete redesign rather than a chipset swap with larger heatsinks, increased SATA ports, and various other improvements.

Complete Lineup
  • MEG X570S ACE MAX
  • MEG X570S UNIFY-X MAX
  • MPG X570S GAMING CARBON MAX WIFI
  • MPG X570S GAMING EDGE MAX WIFI
  • MAG X570S TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI
  • MAG X570S TORPEDO MAX
  • X570S PRO-MAX WIFI
  • X570S-A PRO MAX

I hope MSI will start offering a lot more USB ports on these new MB's.

I guess AM5 is far enough away the mobo makers wanted AMD to release SOMETHING so they had new products to shill

I wonder how many of these had active cooling previously and were remodeled into the fanless boards.

That fan didn't even spin up most of the time, what's the panic about?

Nah it's not but many are not getting X570 boards because of active cooling. I have already heard a few whining fans. Small fans are the worst when it comes to noise and whine.

I'd not get anything right now anyway, only if my system breaks haha. No point when AMD and Intel releases next gen platforms soon, with DDR5 and PCIe5.0.

There's more (newer and/or newer version of)goods not only passive cooling?

Yeah that fan was the reason I picked up a B550 board over a X570 for my build a few weeks ago. I didn't need the extra PCI-E bandwidth/lanes so pretty easy decision. But hey, I like buying hardware to excess so AMD's loss.

Yeah still no mATX option.

No, the fans dont spin up generally on these motherboards, unless you're hammering your drives with data

mATX rarely get much focus, because ATX and ITX is what sells, people that like small typically go ITX istead of mATX. Because lets be honest, mATX does not reduce size much. Compact ATX cases are almost same size.

I don't understand why mATX is being neglected. Many ATX users don't use third PEG, and ITX had many space restrictions, while mATX provides perfectly 2 PEGs and the same features as ATX. I like Asrock X399M, it's a shame they didn't make a TRX40 version, whereas Asrock X570M Pro 4 feel too generic.

until i started mining on a 3090, air cooled exhausting OVER the fan i never saw any sign it had ever spun on

After 2 months of mining, covered in dust. Vertical mounted the GPU (on water) and i can see its no longer spinning.

Maybe because multi GPU is pretty much dead and most high-end sound solutions these days are external anyway, you really don't need more than one x16 PCIe port.

VRMs on ITX and mATX are often quite similar, weaker than most ATX boards.

mATX does not reduce case much compared to compact ATX cases, probably why they neglect it. You pay a premium for a good mATX board (which often is on the lower end tier of ATX boards) ATX is simply cheaper and you will generally get more features and better VRMs here
