Overclocking
Overclocking in Wattman feels MUCH improved over what I encountered on RX 5700/Navi 10. The driver crashes less often during overclocking, and the card is also able to sometimes recover from overclocks that are too high.
With manual overclocking, maximum overclock of our sample is 1860 MHz on the memory (6% overclock), which is limited by the adjustment range in Wattman. I suspect the chips could go even higher, but for some reason, AMD chooses to artificially limit overclocking potential of their cards. GPU overclocking, on the other hand, was close to the maximum range available, but I couldn't max it out on my sample.
Maximum stable overclock was 1922 MHz, which increases average GPU clock from 1795 MHz to 1899 MHz (6% overclock).
Using these clock frequencies, we ran a quick test of Unigine Heaven to evaluate the gains from overclocking.
Actual 3D performance gained from overclocking is 5.3%.
