Exterior Look

Pulling the ASRock DeskMini GTX 1060 out from the foam reveals a sleek and minimalist exterior. At 2.7 liters, this machine is truly small. What isn't small is the power brick since it is about half the size of the ASRock DeskMini GTX 1060 itself. Given the potential of the DeskMini, the size of the power brick is reassuring.

Examining the ASRock DeskMini GTX 1060 closely reveals a modern, even classy design aesthetic. The front of the case is black brushed aluminum with a flush, but with an easily differentiated power button flanked by two status LEDs. Also featured on the front are two 3.5 mm jacks and a USB 3.1 type A port and a USB 3.1 type C port.

The top of the ASRock DeskMini GTX 1060 is dominated by ventilation holes through which the CPU and GPU coolers can be glimpsed. Two USB 2.0 ports featured near the front are presumably for a mouse and keyboard. The bottom of the ASRock DeskMini GTX 1060 also features pervasive ventilation holes, as well as four indentations for the included adhesive rubber feet.

One side, which can also function as the bottom, is just matte black metal with four indentations for adhesive rubber feet. The other side, which may function as the top, is completely covered in ventilation holes.

The back of the ASRock DeskMini GTX 1060 is dominated by the rear I/O. Starting from the left, there are two WIFI antenna, the DC input, an RJ45 Ethernet port, an HDMI port, and four USB 3.1 type A ports. Separate from the I/O panel are the three GPU ports, which include an HDMI, a DisplayPort, and a Mini DisplayPort.
