ASUS TUF Gaming TF120 ARGB Fans

On top of the chassis, ASUS sent us their latest TUF Gaming fans in the form of two 3-packs of the TF120 ARGB units. Each of these full color packages include mounting hardware and wiring as well as an ARGB controller.

ASUS has also taken a bit of care when it comes to packaging the fans, as each within the retail box comes in its own white package. The wiring has also been separated inside by a cardboard divider.

The extras include the usual paperwork, three sets of mounting screws, a 3-way PWM splitter cable and a lead to connect the ARGB controller to your motherboard for control.

Even the ARGB controller itself is themed to match the TUF Gaming sub-brand. It sports four clearly labeled buttons and magnetic strips on the back so you can place it on a metallic surface easily. While this is nice, the magnetic force of these isn't very strong. The whole thing is powered by a single, permanently attached SATA cable.

There are four numbered 3-pin ARGB connectors on the sides of the controller. On the end, you will find a two-pin plug to allow for case button control as well as that plug to enable motherboard control instead.

The fans are also designed with plenty of detail to fit into the TUF Gaming family of products, with seven fairly wide blades to spread the illumination of the hub mounted ARGB LEDs. In the back, four gently curved spines hold the motor in place, with one building a trench for the wiring.

Each of the fans sports rubber pads on the corners of both sides, with a set of small arrows on the exterior of the nicely designed frame to let you know in which way the blades will spin and the air will be pushed. ASUS sticks to the generic connectors for both ARGB as well as PWM, so that you may use the fans across all eco systems, which is a nice touch.
