Be quiet! continues their use of compact packaging with the Pure Rock 2 FX. Keeping with their typical black theme, the box is also entirely black, with the front featuring a hard-to-see image of the cooler with only the ARGB fan really standing out. The left side has a QR code for quick access to product information, and the back details the four heat pipes and 120 mm Light Wings fan.
On the right side of the box, we find a specifications table detailing important information, such as the cooler's dimensions, weight, socket compatibility, etc. Also of note is the damage the packaging took during shipping. Other than that, the cooler's 150 W rated TDP is listed. Finally, the top of the box just mentions the product name and TDP.

The packaging is mostly cardboard, but be quiet! did slip some foam in to protect the heatsink and fan, which is always nice to see. However, since the box took a beating, the lack of excess protection around the outside means I had several bent heatsink fins. Thankfully it was easily fixable, but it does show that better packaging is never a bad idea. I would also say this is more on the carrier than the company, as the box looked like it was used as a football before making it to me for review. Other than that, the mounting hardware is kept secure within a smaller box.
The mounting hardware hasn't changed much from the previous be quiet! coolers and should pose no real problems. It supports the majority of today's modern sockets, and while the smaller parts can be a pain, they serve a proper purpose. I wish the crossbar or mounting bridge that secures the cooler to the socket were secured to the heatsink rather than free-floating, but that is a minor complaint I have with most of be quiet!'s cooler range.
