Shape

The Darkstar Wireless is best described as a take on the G502/Basilisk V2/V3 type of shape. Down to the main buttons being pointy at the front, the way the left main button sits much higher than the right one, and aesthetic details such as the glossy strip between the main buttons and rear body, it is clear where the Darkstar Wireless has taken inspiration from. Still, some notable differences exist. For one, the Darkstar Wireless lacks a thumb rest entirely, and it also maintains a higher profile than both the G502 and Basilisk V2/V3. In addition, despite being marginally slimmer and shorter than the G502X or Basilisk V3, the Darkstar Wireless has quite the hump, which has it feel similarly bulky as the other two. An ergonomic specialty of the Darkstar Wireless are six additional side buttons spaced around the thumb area. Depending on grip, the two rear-facing buttons in particular may be actuated accidentally, especially by those with larger thumbs. Somewhat ironically, despite the Darkstar Wireless being primarily designed for palm grip, users of palm grip will likely be more affected by this.

As for grip styles, I'd say the Darkstar Wireless is generally suited for palm and claw grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a rather pronounced hump, which makes it suitable for medium to large hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Darkstar Wireless comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the Darkstar Wireless and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
