Surface

The Cougar Revenger S features the exact same materials and coatings as the Minos X5. The upper surface is coated in a half-glossy, half-matte material that should generally be grippy enough for most people with hands that are not too dry or wet. It feels and looks nice as well, though such things are of course a matter of personal preferences.

Once again, just like with the Minos X5, the side panels have textured rubber side grips. These are very smooth, and I think they should have a different pattern for more stability and grip—I personally did not have any accidental slips with these, though people with sweaty hands may.

The backpanel of the Revenger S is detachable, and there a few different variants available from Cougar, or you can 3D print your own as well.

Build Quality

The build quality is alright, but not perfect; I heard some very minor creaking when I gripping the shell very firmly. Also, the scroll wheel can rattle a bit if the mouse is being shaken vigorously. I did not encounter this problem by simply moving the mouse across the mouse pad, even on huge swipes.

Weight

This mouse weighs about 94–95 grams with a few centimeters of cable. It is pretty much perfectly centered, so there are no balancing issues whatsoever. As for a mouse with these dimensions, 94 grams is pretty good, but for high pace FPS gaming, I would prefer something a bit lighter. Everyone is different, though, and some people prefer heavier mice. However, lighter mice are generally better for your wrists over the long run.
