Installation

Installing the Gamer Storm Lucifer will have users prepare the backplate by putting the bolts into the proper holes. Now, slide the de-vibration buckles into place. Doing so will keep the bolts from moving around, which makes installation much easier. Slide the backplate into place once it has been fully assembled.

Take the four black spacers and put them in place over the bolts' threads. After that, slide the mounting arms into place before tightening the nuts to make sure the arms are securely fastened.

Carefully apply an adequate amount of thermal paste to the IHS. Now, holding the retention plate to the cooler's base, line it up with the holes on each mounting arm and tighten its spring-loaded screws down. This can be a bit tricky, and I would like to see Deepcool take a page out of Noctua's book by including a screwdriver to make it easier.

All that remains now is to attach the fan using the included fan clips. Once this is done, simply plug the fan into the CPU fan header to complete the installation process.

It is very easy to work with the mounting hardware the Gamer Storm Lucifer utilizes. A few improvements, such as an included screwdriver, could be made, but it is a very good design overall. Having said that, I would rate the Gamer Storm Lucifer's installation an 8 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest).
