DimasTech ships the bench tables in a clear white cardboard box. I was wondering why it was so huge, but upon opening it, the reason becomes apparent. The two main parts are placed in the midst of a sea of Styrofoam snipplets. The accessories and additional pieces are simply tossed in there. This means you literally have to go fish for these parts. It would have been much nicer and certainly better for the environment, if DimasTech would have taken more time to organize and stack things in a compact fashion and use foam cut outs to hold everything in place. Such a method would reduce the packaging material, make the overall package a lot more compact and in turn may reduce the shipping cost as well. Even if pellets or snipplets have to be used - for all that is good and holy - please do not use Styrofoam ones DimasTech! The process of unpacking the parts will take you about an hour as you will have to clean every single one by hand, then collect all the snipplets & clean the surrounding areas in your home - frustrating to say the least.
Contents & Parts
Within the package you will find two bags with screws and such. One holds all the screws required to get the table assembled, while the other has all the small parts to get your mainboard and other hardware secured on the bench table. There is also a foam spacer for your power supply to reduce any vibration from the unit. The two buttons for reset/power can be found in one of the bags as well. Note the lack of a user manual. That won't matter if you are an ace at assembling IKEA furniture, but for anyone else, the process will raise quite a few questions.
The two white parts are the top arch, which will hold your mainboard as well as radiators, while the bottom tray is intended to hold the drives, power supply and water cooling reservoir. See the large amount of mounting holes? Your bet is as good as mine about what part belongs were.
As part of the "fully accessorized" package we received every add-on available for the Bench Table Easy V2. The drive cages for both 3.5 and 5.25 inch devices, the PSU bracket and a unit to hold your water reservoir & tubing are the units which will be fit on the bottom plate of the table. The seven port expansion plate goes on the top unit.
You also get four different fan holders. A large, 120 mm version to blow air down unto the board from as high up as possible as well as two similar units, but which do not raise up as far - one for 80 mm and one for 120 mm. The package is rounded up by two straight plates for the same fan sizes, so that you can create an air flow across the bench table as well. As we will be cooling our units with traditional fans, we may not need all of these accessories, but they will be installed for your viewing pleasure.
