The Emotn N1 stays clear of Android and instead utilizes a Linux based OS. As Android also has Linux based roots, there are a few UI elements that look quite similar as we will see later on, but you will not get the clean, single-sign-on onboard experience from such a well utilized operating system. As such, no matter what mobile OS you are used to - Android or iOS, setting up the Emotn N1 feels distinctly different, but also a bit familiar in terms of the steps you have to take. From pairing the remote to projector placement, legal agreements and network setup, it is all there. The unique step is certainly the request for you to set up Netflix during your initial device setup. The native support likely the main reason you would grab this projector, so it makes sense for Emotn to put that aspect right at your finger tips out of the box.
