A Closer Look

The LIQMAX 120S uses a square-shaped pump, corrugated tubing, which is roughly 12 inches / 30.5 cm long, and an aluminum radiator. The radiator is comprised of aluminum and has a fin density of 19-20 fins per inch / 2.54 cm. The corrugated tubing connects directly to the radiator, so there are no fittings, etc., which, much like all other all-in-one liquid coolers, would allow you to seriously modify this unit in order to add to it.

The pump features a built-in blue LED that illuminates Enermax's logo. The fan cable is braided and the tubes are fitted to the pump with fittings that swivel. The LIQMAX 120S's copper base also has visible machining marks, and while they should not affect performance, the finish could be better. Only a few of the machining marks are deep enough to be felt with your fingers.

The ED122512S-PA fan is a high-pressure twister-bearing fan with three APS (Adjustable Peak Speed) PWM modes. High has the fan run at 600-2500 RPM, Balanced at 600-2000 RPM, and Quiet at 600-1300 RPM. As one might guess, high performance mode will likely be pretty loud; however, quiet mode should be just that, and, overall, these steps are a great addition on Enermax's part. The fan blades can also be removed for easy cleaning, which is a great feature to have. The fan is of fairly high quality overall.
