Introduction

Established in 2014, Finalmouse is a peripherals company based in the US. For years, Finalmouse has been all about getting the weight of their mice as low as possible. For now, the UltralightX is the culmination of this process, clocking in at just 38 g for the medium size. To reach this weight, Finalmouse has opted for rather exotic materials: The shell of the UltralightX is made of a carbon fiber composite, which is supposed to ensure shell rigidity even at minimal wall thickness, and with hexagonal holes being used across the back, sides, and bottom of the mouse. On the technical side, the UltralightX utilizes PixArt's PAW3395 sensor, accompanied by Omron switches for the main buttons, along with pure PTFE feet. Initially, a polling rate of up to 4000 Hz is supported, with 8000 Hz to follow at some point later. Unlike previous releases from Finalmouse, the UltralightX is said to be in continuous production, although still distributed through limited drops. The UltralightX is available in three sizes: large ("Tiger"), medium ("Lion"), and small ("Cheetah"), with two possible accent colorways for each: gold ("Guardian") or blue ("Phantom").
