Event Report

Overclockers were flown in from all around the world for the event. The Hua-Shan Creative Park created the right ambiance for the event.


At the start of the competition the CPUs were handed out. The two trays full of Intel i7 980X Gulftowns got most of the PC interested people there drooling, myself included.


The overclockers all started out by insulating the boards to protect them from the condensation around the cold areas, which will occur as soon as you cool the CPU below the ambient air temperature.


Mikeguava tried using mineral oil as insulation for the motherboard. I guess Intestinal Lubricant is win!
Other contestants used more conventional methods like shop towels and vaseline.
