Value and Conclusion

  • The Gigabyte Setto can be had in black, silver or gray for 59,90 € at Caseking. Expect to find it in the US for around 60-70 US Dollars
  • Cheap! (in a good way)
  • Great exterior design
  • Available in three colors
  • Aluminum & steel front
  • Metal clip for expansion cards works well
  • Light weight
  • Front easily removable
  • Two 120 mm fans included
  • Fan cables have been routed, sleeved and combined
  • Can hold large graphic cards
  • Very simple interior - pretty much OEM
  • Screws, we need more screws!
  • Screw-less system for drives fairly useless
  • Fairly thin steel body
  • Odin 470W power supply not recommendable
The Gigabyte Setto 1000 is aimed at first time builders, or those who want to pay a little extra to stear clear of those beige OEM cases. The enclosure is priced well, so you might as well spring for those 10-20 US Dollars more and get a good and solid looking case instead of a cheap plastic no-name variant. Those on a tight budget and building an entry level PC, without wanting to sacrifice the look, should also take a look at the Gigabyte Setto 1000. It has all the basics of OEM cases, adds a big breeze of good looks, better overall construction quality due to the aluminum and steel front and includes two fans.
That said, it would have been nice to get more screws than the bare minimum as the plastic locks for the drive bays are mostly a marketing feature instead of a functional one. Considering the price to the Setto 1000, you get basic interior features with a few small highlights, but the looks of a much more expensive case, so this chassis is here to impress - it is all about looks after all.
