Finished Looks

Once everything was assembled, I was anxious to get the cables routed cleanly behind the cover, but alas it was not possible due to a simple design limitation. It seems like the power connector of the PSU I used faced the wrong way and thus the corned power cable faced the wrong way. So I ended up exposing just that area of the rear and use a standard cable instead.


The installed black ODD used looks quite good too. Fact is, that there are no optical drives with the bright white color option, so it is good to see them hidden behind a cover. This also gives you the option to using any drive - no matter what the color.


As you can see, the blue power LED lights up on the power button, while the HDD access one is hidden under the black part and only visible when active. While I do not think that the blue looks bad in combination with the overall design, a red, white or even pink LED whould have been of a better choice to go with the color of the floral pattern.
