Sequential performance seems to be limited by the reduced number of flash channels (the drive uses only 12 chips, whereas other drives use 16, which provides higher bandwidth).
Random read/write performance is held back by the slower firmware of the 330 Series to differentiate it from the faster and more expensive 500 Series.
