The Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro is one of a few quality power stations on the market with a 2000 W capacity. Such a capacity also means that it is one hefty unit. In that regard it is less portable than smaller, less capable ones. But, in this product segment, the target audience for the Explorer 2000 Pro is clearly aimed towards professional disciplines that truly require it. With that in mind, it is not surprising that it also carries a price tag that would put it out of reach for the casual user. And that is fine, because Jackery has plenty of alternatives for more typical consumer workloads.

From a technical perspective, the Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro offers some features not found in their competitors units, but also lacks others. On one hand, you get an excellent 1500 watt charging speed and the ability to connect up to 1200 watts of solar panels. It also has a built-in power supply, which is an excellent positive aspect. The fold down handle makes one-handed carrying possible - even if it is just for short distances. For those with portable devices, the ability to charge up to 100 W through USB-C is very handy.

On the other hand, devices with the same capacity and price offer slower or lesser charging capabilities but instead utilize more resilient LiFePO4, and offer wireless charging pads and a larger number of AC outlets. Some even go as far as being modular so that you may expand the capacity of the employed battery system easily.

As such, the Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro fits a pretty specific profile: it is a capable portable power bank that can be recharged quickly, instead of offering additional bells and whistles. If that profile fits your main use case, then the Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro is a great choice that gets the job done.
