Graphics Card Cooler Front
Graphics Card Cooler Back

MSI's cooler uses three heatpipes, two of which are extra long. The heatsink base provides cooling for the memory chips and VRM circuitry, too.

Once the main cooler is removed, a metal bar that runs along the top edge becomes visible. It's for stabilization, to protect against warping.

The backplate is made out of metal and protects the card against damage during installation and handling.
