MSI has given the Z170A GAMING M7 a new set of introductory BIOS pages, ones that are functional enough to make most necessary changes while staying out of any unnecessary settings. If you want to change fan speeds, maybe boot devices, or use its automated overclocking function or XMP, you can do so quickly and easily. You also get a link to the BIOS updating utility. I spent most of my time in the BIOS here, making changes without any problems, and it was only when I had to manually change voltages and memory timings that I needed more, which I also found easily.
When you want to step into something a bit more advanced, simply pressing "F7" will quickly get you into the more traditional MSI BIOS layout that has been around since MSI started to use UEFI BIOSes. I like this layout and how it is arranged, which is quite different from what other brands offer. You have a TON of options here, as is easily shown by the huge number of images that follow below:
